Victoria Beckham Steps Out for Emma Bunton’s 50th Birthday Party, Days After Son Brooklyn Slammed Family

Victoria Beckham celebrated Emma Bunton’s 50th birthday this weekend, amid continued family drama involving her eldest son, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham.

The fashion designer, 51, attended a party for her former Spice Girls collaborator in Cotswolds, England, on Saturday, Jan. 24.

There, she reunited with all but one of her former bandmates. Victoria (Posh Spice) was joined by Melanie “Mel C” (Sporty Spice) and Geri Halliwell-Horner (Ginger Spice) to celebrate Bunton (Baby Spice). Missing was Melanie “Mel B” Brown (Scary Spice).

Victoria shared a photo of the group on Instagram on Sunday, Jan. 25. “Happy birthday to the most beautiful soul @emmaleebunton I love you girls so much @gerihalliwellhorner @melaniecmusic xxxxxxx,” she wrote in her caption.

Husband David Beckham cheered on the moment in the comments section of his wife’s post, writing, “This made me happy ❤️ I can only imagine how the spice girls fans feel 😍 @spicegirls 😍 @victoriabeckham special night celebrating Emma @emmaleebunton x.”

It is not clear if the retired athlete, 50, was in attendance as well. Representatives for Victoria, David and Bunton did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Jan. 25.

Bunton celebrated her 50th birthday on Wednesday, Jan. 21. At the time, each of her fellow Spice Girls dedicated a sweet tribute to her on social media.

Victoria shared a black and white throwback photo of the pair, in which she could be seen carrying Bunton on her back. “Happy birthday @emmaleebunton. I love you so much!!” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.

Victoria’s appearance at Bunton’s birthday celebrations came amid an ongoing feud surrounding the Beckham family.

A rumored rift between Brooklyn, 26, and the rest of the Beckham family — which also includes Romeo Beckham, Cruz Beckham and Harper Beckham — is believed to have begun in April 2022, when the rising chef married Nicola Peltz Beckham.

Brooklyn spoke out about his estrangement from his parents in a bombshell-filled message on his Instagram Stories on Jan. 19, claiming that his parents have been “trying endlessly to ruin” his marriage to Nicola, 31. He also stated he does not want to “reconcile” with his family.

Other allegations leveled by Brooklyn against his famous family, he wrote in his recent social media post, included that his parents tried to “bribe” him into “signing away the rights” to his name before his and Nicola’s wedding, and that mom Victoria “hijacked” his wedding dance with his wife and “danced inappropriately on me.”

A source close to the situation recently told PEOPLE that Brooklyn and Nicola “never wanted any of this,” stating, “They just wanted to quietly live their lives and be married, but after reading enough of the relentless inaccuracies about Nicola, a family member had had enough and wanted to set the record straight last year.”

“And then the Beckhams had plenty of time to make amends and try and fix the damage, and instead they continued to push these false narratives, and Brooklyn and Nicola are just sick of it. Brooklyn knows his truth and was ready to speak it,” the insider added.

However, a source with knowledge of the situation told PEOPLE earlier this year, “David and Victoria have repeatedly asked Brooklyn and Nicola to meet and talk in order to move forward.”

“David loves his kids,” continued the insider of Brooklyn, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14. “They are his everything.”
