West Wilson reveals surprising first time he told Amanda Batula he loves her
West Wilson first told Amanda Batula he loved her during Season 10 of “Summer House,” filmed last summer.
He made the revelation during “Summer House: The Aftermath,” in which he has an emotional sit-down with Batula’s estranged husband, Kyle Cooke.
“Do you think you’re honestly ready to settle down and be in a committed relationship where you’re faithful?” Cooke — who has previously voiced concern for his ex — questioned Wilson.
“Yeah. I do,” the sports journalist replied.
When the Loverboy founder asked him if he loves Batula, he not only said that he does, but recalled the moment he first told her.
“I mean yeah. I said ‘I love you’ that night I left your guys’ room to her.”
Wilson was referring to a heated episode of the Bravo show in which he comforted Batula after Cooke screamed expletives at her in a blowout fight while they were still married.
In the August 2025 scene, Wilson can be seen walking into Cooke and Batula’s room at night, with the latter in bed alone. He says, “Love you, OK? Text me if you need anything.”
“I really care about her a f–k ton,” the Missouri native insisted to Cooke.
Despite the revelation, Wilson maintained that things didn’t turn romantic between him and the swimsuit designer until February.
“I get everyone wants to go back and watch the show and be like, ‘They were hooking up.’ We weren’t,” he said.
“I haven’t gotten to the point where I’ve told her or myself that I’m in love or not,” Wilson further explained. “But I do love her and have. I have cared about her for a long time. And it’s hard to say that right to your face.”
He also said that he hopes Cooke will see the way he cares for Batula and that it will “at least lighten the worry” he feels for his estranged wife.
“No matter how this shakes out, I appreciate you talking to me today,” he concluded.
Wilson previously shared that he and and his former friend “made a lot of progress” during their three-hour conversation, which took place weeks after the Season 10 reunion wrapped filming.
“I’m not gonna say [things are] good,” Wilson clarified on a May episode of his and Sophie Cunningham’s “Show Me Something” podcast. “Like, nothing’s perfect right now.”
“It was obviously awkward and weird to start, but … it was not a gunfight,” Wilson shared with listeners. “It was very calm and peaceful. [We were] trying to hear each other and get to a better place.”
Wilson, 31, and Batula, 34, confirmed their secret relationship in March — just two months after she and Cooke announced their separation.
Although the pair have maintained that there was no overlap with their relationship and any others, Cooke accused Batula of having an “emotional affair” with Wilson during their marriage after watching back Season 10.
However, Batula vehemently denied the accusation when confronted by Cooke in April.
Batula and Wilson not only betrayed the trust of Cooke with their secret romance, but also their co-star Ciara Miller — who was Batula’s BFF and previously dated Wilson.
While Cooke seems to be on the path to forgiving both Batula and West, Miller made it clear she wants to cut them both off for good.
Although the cast for Season 11 is still unclear, Wilson was reportedly “not picked up” by production as filming starts over Fourth of July weekend.
