What Timothée Chalamet confessed to Kylie Jenner at Oscars 2026: lip reader
Keeping up with Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet’s conversation.
The two were caught on camera chatting at Sunday night’s Oscars 2026, in a video obtained by E! News, with a lip reader claiming the actor confessed to his girlfriend, “I hate this.”
Nicola Hickling told the Daily Mail Monday that Jenner allegedly replied, “We’re all right, OK?”
When Chalamet reportedly answered, “Yeah,” the makeup mogul said, “I hope so.”
According to Hickling, the “Marty Supreme” star, 30, added, “Tonight, I need a big cuddle.”
Reps for Chalamet and Jenner did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The back-and-forth appeared to take place ahead of Chalamet losing the best actor award to “Sinners” star Michael B. Jordan.
Jordan, 39, beat out Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio (“One Battle After Another”), Wagner Moura (“The Secret Agent”) and Ethan Hawke (“Blue Moon”) for the trophy.
The “Friday Night Lights” alum also won the category at the 2026 Actor Awards, while Chalamet took home the honor at the Golden Globes 2026 and Critics Choice Awards 2026 earlier this year.
Chalamet, who made headlines for sweetly thanking Jenner in his previous acceptance speeches, appeared to say “yay” when Jordan’s name was called out at the Oscars.
Jenner’s ex-boyfriend — and the father of her two children — Travis Scott seemingly dissed Chalamet when he posted an Instagram Story photo of Jordan accepting the award.
Chalamet put on a brave face at the subsequent Vanity Fair Oscars Party 2026, packing on the PDA with Jenner, 29.
The “Dune” star’s Oscars campaign was recently overshadowed by his headline-making remarks about ballet and opera.
Chalamet said during a February town hall event that aired on CNN that “no one cares” about the art forms — and his quotes went viral weeks later.
Additionally, similar comments from 2019 resurfaced.
While Chalamet has yet to address the controversy, his remarks have been blasted by “The View” co-hosts, mocked on “Jeopardy!” and called out by professional ballerina Misty Copeland.
Oscars host Conan O’Brien brought up the scandal during the awards show, quipping, “Security is extremely tight tonight. … There’s concerns from attacks from both the opera and ballet communities.”
