Where West Wilson and Kyle Cooke stand after three-hour conversation about Amanda Batula
Kyle Cooke and West Wilson “made a lot of progress” after having a three-hour conversation about the latter’s romance with Amanda Batula, Cooke’s estranged wife.
“I’m not gonna say [things are] good,” Wilson clarified on Tuesday’s episode of his and Sophie Cunningham’s “Show Me Something” podcast. “Like, nothing’s perfect right now.”
Nevertheless, the sports journalist is “glad” to have had the sitdown.
“It was obviously awkward and weird to start, but … it was not a gunfight,” Wilson shared with listeners. “It was very calm and peaceful. [We were] trying to hear each other and get to a better place.”
The reality star isn’t sure whether the tough conversation will air on “Summer House” or the Bravo show’s “In the City” spinoff.
According to Wilson, he prefaced the talk by telling Cooke, “I’m not trying to get to a better place with you for this f–king show. I do care about you as a friend and this doesn’t need to be filmed.”
Wilson said it was Cooke’s decision to chat in front of cameras since the scandal played out publicly.
“I really appreciate him doing that,” Wilson continued. “One, hearing me out. Two, being nice about it and then three, ending on that note will probably be better for me because it was a much better environment to talk about everything than the reunion was.”
Wilson admitted the reunion, filmed last month, didn’t end “great” for him.
The 31-year-old also teased that the three-part reunion, kicking off Tuesday night, was not “gentle by any means” — but allowed his castmates to get “everything out of their system” and be “cordial.”
Elsewhere in the podcast, Wilson reacted to his ex — and Batula’s former BFF — Ciara Miller’s angry reaction to the bombshell romance, which was confirmed in March.
“[At] the end of summer, [Miller and I] were canoodling again, [but] I told Ben [Waddell] I wasn’t trying to be a boyfriend,” he said. “I think it’s still a shock to the system and people feel betrayed. I’m not trying to convince anyone that their feelings don’t matter.”
During the premiere of “In The City” last week, Cooke questioned whether Batula and Wilson had an “emotional affair” while they were married and filming Season 10.
Batula — who announced her separation from Cooke back in January — heavily denied the accusation.
While Cooke seems to be on the path to forgiving both Batula and West, Miller recently made it clear she wants to cut them both off for good.
When asked in a recent interview with People if she and Batula are “dunzo,” Miller savagely replied, “Yeah, for sure.”
“I couldn’t do this to my worst enemy,” she added.
Batula and Wilson revealed their secret romance in March, blindsiding the entire “Summer House” cast.
The explosive trailer for the Season 10 reunion showed the whole crew railing against the new couple for their secrecy and betrayal.
Part one of the “Summer House” Season 10 reunion airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
