White House Correspondents’ Dinner party invites rolling in
This year’s “nerd prom” is weeks away, and the invites are already starting to pour in.
MS Now will host its first White House Correspondents’ Dinner event under its new name and owner, while its former sister station, NBC, will return this year to host a party.
Condé Nast and CAA have a bash, with Mark Guiducci making his WHCD debut as the new editor of Vanity Fair.
Creator platform beehiiv will also make an appearance, sponsoring Oliver Darcy’s Status party on Thursday and its own bash Friday night, which is co-sponsored by Shinola.
“Fantastic Four” star Michael Chiklis will chair a dinner for the Creative Coalition at PubKey in DC, and CBS News senior White House correspondent Weijia Jiang will attend this year as president of the White House Correspondents’ Association.
She said she’s looking forward to hosting President Trump, who previously boycotted the dinner. The main event takes place April 25 with mentalist Oz Pearlman as the headline entertainer.
The press-hating prez is attending this year for the first time as president. He famously attended in 2011 when then-president Barack Obama mercilessly roasted him.
