Why Knicks Star Trey Jemison III’s Fiancee Will Miss All of His 1st-Round Playoff Games

The New York Knicks are facing the Atlanta Hawks in the 2026 NBA Playoffs, but one Knicks WAG won’t be at any of the games — she has a few of her own, instead.

Alex Jean Glover, wife of Knicks forward Trey Jemison III, is an influencer, former Division I volleyball player and broadcaster for Major League Volleyball’s Dallas Pulse.

“Before Trey got with me, he knew he was getting a working baddie,” she said in a Saturday, April 18, TikTok video. “But that doesn’t make it any easier.”

The Pulse are in the midst of their regular season, which runs until May 3, while the playoffs could extend the season through May 9. The Knicks’ series against the Hawks will go until at least Tuesday, April 28, and could run until May 2.

Ali Marks Brunson, wife of New York Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson, has the couple’s 17-month-old daughter to thank for opening up her life personally and professionally. “We’ve been in the [New York] area for four years ever since Jalen and I moved to New York,” Ali exclusively told Us Weekly via her partnership with ALOHA. Glover and Jemison, 26, first met in 2024 after Jemison slid into her Instagram DMs. They announced their engagement in August 2025 and plan to get married this coming August.

In her video, Glover also called out those who asked why she scheduled herself to work during the NBA Playoffs.

“If I waited for every single time the NBA had something come up, hence the NBA Cup, that I also missed, that the Knicks also won, which I feel terrible about, I wouldn’t work at all,” she said, adding that she also had to miss Jemison’s first Knicks start.

She continued, “That being said, we’re okay with it. I absolutely love my job … It actually allows me to see him more than I would if I had a normal 9-5 with being able to do something that I love, being able to travel and see Trey for weeks at a time.”

Glover also addressed followers who have asked why she chooses to work so much.

“Because I want to work,” she said matter-of-factly.

But, as Glover explained, that’s her choice. She ended her video by defending WAGs who prefer to stay at home — particularly those with kids.

“People glamorize the life of a stay-at-home WAG,” she said. “That is hard. That is a hard job to have. Basically your whole life is revolving around someone else’s schedule. And then you can add another component if you have children. It’s not as easy as it looks.”

She added, “Props to all the girlfriends, all the WAGs and everybody holding it down for these men.”

The Knicks and Hawks are currently tied 1-1 in their best-of-seven series. They play Game 3 on Thursday, April 23 in Atlanta at 7 p.m. ET.
