Why Taylor Swift fans think she made a cameo in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ with Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift fans have theorized that the pop star made a sneaky cameo in “Happy Gilmore 2” alongside her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Netflix shared a behind-the-scenes video Wednesday of Kelce, 35, warming up to get slathered in honey by Bad Bunny in the comedy film.

The tight end’s character — a mean boss who cruelly fired Bad Bunny’s character, Oscar — gets eaten by a bear in Oscar’s fantasy, and fans think that it was the “Cruel Summer” singer inside the bear costume.

“They should’ve dressed Taylor as a bear for an epic surprise,” one fan wrote in the comments. Netflix then replied with the eyes emoji, feeding into the fun theory.

“Ok but who is the bear! @taylorswift 👀,” a fan questioned in the comments.

“Dying to know is it @taylorswift in the bear costume?? I hope so!” another fan wrote. “Why do I feel like taylor was in the bear suit!!? 😂😂😂 ❤️,” another added.

Swift, herself, promoted the sequel on her Instagram Story last week and gave a little shoutout to her beau.

“Happy Gilmore 2 had me cackling and cheering the whole movie! An absolute must watch, 13/10, go watch it on @netflix as soon as humanly possible 🍯” she wrote alongside the film’s poster.

The honey emoji is seemingly in reference to her NFL star boyfriend’s hilarious scene.

Adam Sandler, the producer and star of “Happy Gilmore 2,” is a proud Swiftie himself and has praised the singer on multiple occasions.

“Taylor is incredible,” Sandler, 58, recently told Entertainment Tonight. “Taylor is so damn nice to my family and has always been. My kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the year, and she’s ridiculously nice to them and warm.”

Despite his love for the songwriter, he did admit to Extra at the movie’s premiere that he didn’t ask her to star in the film with Kelce because he “didn’t want to bother” the busy pop star.

Swift, 35, has been supportive of Kelce’s budding acting career. Before the athlete made his debut in Ryan Murphy’s TV series “Grotesquerie,” she gave her boyfriend some advice.

“The only thing that [Kelce and I] talked about was that she’s very supportive of him, and if he has an interest, she wanted him to try it,” Murphy told E! News at the show’s premiere in September 2024.

“I was thrilled about that,” the director, 58, added. “I love her, too.”

Kelce recently went Instagram-official with Swift in order to prove how “serious” he is about her, giving fans an intimate look into their sweet dynamic.

“It was intentional,” an insider told People on July 25. “They’ve been private in their own way, but this was his way of showing how serious things have become.”
