Wife of Kansas City Chiefs owner shuts down ‘false’ rumors about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding

Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt’s wife, Tavia Hunt, shut down a report that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding featured a massive shortage of seating and champagne.

The Hunts attended Swift and Kelce’s lavish Madison Square Garden wedding in New York City Friday, and Tavia left a comment on podcaster Zack Peter’s Instagram post in which he rehashed a Daily Mail report that quoted apparent guests.

One source told the outlet that there were only 150 seats at the wedding — which meant 800 of the pop star and the NFL athlete’s guests had to stand during the lengthy wedding ceremony, in which Swift and Kelce each reportedly read 20-minute vows.

Another source told the outlet that “the champagne ran out really early” and that the food at the event also left much to be desired.

“It was not great and served buffet-style with long lines if you wanted to eat,” the source said.

But Hunt directly refuted the report, calling it “a false narrative.”

“They did not run out of champagne,” she wrote. “There were not long lines. Every single person was seated for the ceremony.”

“It could not have been a more fabulous experience,” she added. “And frankly, it is inappropriate to say things like this when you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. That is hearsay – not truth.”

Here’s latest on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at MSG:

Tavia posted pics of her and her husband at the wedding on her own Instagram Saturday, writing, “All dressed up in New York for a night that already feels like a song. ❤️.” Tavia, 54, wore a yellow floral dress while Clark, 61, sported a classic tux.

Meanwhile, one attendee spoke to Page Six and gave a glowing review of the event, including the food.

We’re told one station featured fresh pasta tossed inside giant Parmesan wheels, while another served burgers and fries. Full-service bars were also set up throughout the venue.

Page Six previously reported other food items included lobster, chicken and more.

Grammy Award-winning music producer Smittybeatz, a childhood friend of Kelce’s who attended the celebration, also dished on the nuptials while speaking exclusively to Page Six.

“All I can say is that it was a beautiful ceremony and a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple,” he shared.

“They turned the Garden into a garden of love and wonderment,” he added. “It was timeless.”
