Zac Efron is supporting his brother Dylan as he bops to the top of the Dancing with the Stars competition.
During the season 34 semi-finals on Tuesday, Nov. 18, the High School Musical alum, 38, was seen in the audience cheering on his brother, 33, holding their 5-year-old sister Olivia on his lap.
For his first dance of the evening, themed Prince Night, Dylan and his partner Daniella Karagach performed a Tango to the late legend’s 1984 hit “I Would Die 4 U.” When the camera panned to Zac, the ballroom erupted into cheers.
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said the performance was “impressive” but noted that there was a “little bit of a mix-up with the footwork.” She told the audience to “hold your boos” while she added that “the real issue is you have to feel this music. It’s Prince.”
Derek Hough, meanwhile, complimented Dylan’s “strong frame” and praised his improvement. He also took a moment to call out Zac in the audience.
Bruno Tonioli called the dance “sharp” and said he felt Dylan’s “intensity” during the dance.
The dance earned Dylan and his partner a score of 27/30. Zac appeared to turn to his mom to ask if that was a good score as she nodded yes.
For their second dance of the night, Dylan and Daniella performed a Cha Cha to Prince’s “Kiss.” At the end of the dance, Zac held up Olivia as she lifted her arms in a big cheer.
Bruno called Dylan a “sexy beast,” and Derek said “the details” of the dance were “so good.” The dance earned Dylan and Daniella a 28/30.
On his Instagram Story, Zac encouraged viewers to vote for Dylan. Zac previously was in the DWTS audience in 2006 to cheer on his HSM costar Monique Coleman.
For Dedication Night on Oct. 14, Dylan honored his siblings. During the show, he and Olivia danced to Zac’s song with Zendaya, “Rewrite the Stars,” from The Greatest Showman.
Dylan said the performance was a nod to his brother Zac, who “always took care of me.” He added that he wants “to be the best role model I can” for Olivia.
“I just like being with Dylan, he’s my best friend,” Olivia said at practice. “I just feel like I’m free with him.”
“This is definitely the best moment in the show so far for me” said Dylan in tears.
The Dancing with the Stars finale airs Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
