Jesse McCartney and Wife Katie Peterson Welcome First Baby: ‘Enjoy Some Cute Pictures of Our Little Fighter’

Jesse McCartney and his wife Katie Peterson are showing off their little one!

On Tuesday, June 17, the couple shared the first public photos of their first-born child to social media. 

“Archer James McCartney took center stage on 5/7/25 💙🏹 ,” the Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip actor, 38, and Peterson, 37, began in a joint Instagram post. 

A carousel of images accompanied the caption, showing the newborn dressed in an all-white onesie with baby blue stitching. “Archer” was written in cursive on the front of the garment, over his chest. 

“Our sweet Archie couldn’t wait to meet us and arrived a bit earlier than expected. We are so in love with him,” the proud parents said.

Archer is already feeling the love. His days include his mom reading him a book and daddy singing him “off to sleep.”

“We look forward to bringing him home very soon to meet his big sister Bailey, who sleeps with his blanket every night,” the couple continued, referencing their family dog. 

“Enjoy some cute pictures of our little fighter, Archer. 🏹,” the post concluded.

As the pictures went on, another photo showed the infant with his arms adorably raised while swaddled in a custom baby blue and white blanket. Another saw Archer seated in front of a brown teddy bear.

Though the majority of the images were sweet, McCartney and Peterson decided to have a bit of fun with the last photos, which looked as if they caught Archer mid-sneeze. 

“Our lil Valentine 🌹🧸 arriving 8/8 xo, JK,” the couple announced in a joint Feb. 14 Instagram post, signing both of their first initials at the end. 

Comments from Tuesday’s post praised McCartney and Peterson for a safe, premature delivery. 

“For 2 months early he looks very developed!!!! Congrats on the healthy bundle!!!” one person wrote. Another added, “As a NICU mom, I know how emotional it feels to see your babies’ face with no tubes❤️ these photos are extra special and he is a strong, beautiful boy!! Congratulations!”

The day after revealing their pregnancy, the Greek alum and Peterson, who is an actress, shared exclusive pregnancy photos with PEOPLE.

In the images, the pair smiled as they embraced each other in a sunset photoshoot while holding sonogram images.

McCartney and Peterson tied the knot in Carmel, Calif., in 2021, after seven years of dating.

Peterson previously told PEOPLE one of the reasons she fell in love with the “Beautiful Soul” singer was because, “He’s just very thoughtful with his time.”

“For somebody who’s so busy and always on the go, he just has this generous way of prioritizing me,” she continued. “We just make each other laugh. I feel the most comfortable being myself when I’m with him, which I think is really the true tell of when you found your person.”
