Melinda Gates listens to Taylor Swift’s ‘TTPD’ album with daughter Phoebe after Jon Du Pre breakup

“The Tortured Poets Department” came out at the perfect time for newly single Melinda Gates.

The philanthropist and daughter Phoebe Gates posted a sweet video lip-synching to Taylor Swift’s new song “Fortnight.”

“@phoebegates and I can’t get enough of the new @taylorswift album…anyone else?! 🎤🎶❤️,” the 59-year-old captioned the Instagram post.

In the clip, the mother-daughter duo sat side by side under studio lights while belting out the bridge.

“I love you, it’s ruining my life / I love you, it’s ruining my life / I touched you for only a fortnight,” they sang.

Both Phoebe, 21, and Melinda’s eldest daughter, Jennifer, reposted the sweet moment to their Instagram Stories.

“Cutest (and I have FOMO),” Jennifer, 28, wrote, while Phoebe joked that she “did not know” her mom was going to share the fun video online.

The majority of Swift’s record-breaking album details her respective splits from Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy — something Melinda can relate to all too well.

 A spokesperson for the billionaire told Page Six earlier this week that Melinda is “no longer dating Jon Du Pre,” a former Fox News correspondent.

However, they did not reveal exactly when the pair split.

The update came after Melinda sparked engagement rumors by wearing a massive diamond ring on that finger over the weekend.

Despite her eye-catching new bling, her rep confirmed she is “not engaged.”

Melinda and Du Pre, 65, were first romantically linked in April 2022 after attending a Nets and Celtics game together.

In November of that year, TMZ reported that they were officially dating — just over one year after her divorce from ex-husband Bill Gates was finalized.

Along with Phoebe and Jennifer, Melinda also shares son Rory, 24, with the Microsoft founder. Despite their split, the pair have seemingly remained cordial for the sake of their children, occasionally reuniting for family events.

Bill, for his part, has been dating late Oracle CEO Mark Hurd’s widow, Paula Hurd, since last year.

Meanwhile, Du Pre shares three adult children with his ex-wife, Gina Larsen: sons Kasey and daughter Jessie.
