Ozzy Osbourne’s unique job title on death certificate revealed
Ozzy Osbourne’s death certificate featured a fitting job title for the late Black Sabbath frontman.
The document described the Grammy winner as a “songwriter, performer and rock legend.”
The singer passed away on July 22 at age 76, with his cause of death confirmed on Tuesday.
Ozzy died of an “out of hospital cardiac arrest,” as well as “coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction.”
His daughter Aimée Osbourne filed the death certificate, obtained by the New York Times, at a London registry.
Aimée, 41, is Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s eldest child, with the duo also welcoming daughter Kelly Osbourne and son Jack Osbourne during their time together.
Additionally, Ozzy is survived by Elliot, Jessica and Louis from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.
The “War Pigs” singer’s family members took part in a public memorial in Ozzy’s hometown of Birmingham, England, last week.
Sharon, who is reportedly “heartbroken” and being “held up” by her kids, honored her late husband by wearing one of his rings on a chain around her neck.
The following day, Ozzy’s loved ones mourned him in a private funeral attended by Marilyn Manson and more rockers at his home.
Sharon has yet to speak out on her partner’s passing since issuing a joint family statement last month.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” it read. “He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
Kelly, for her part, thanked fans on her Instagram Story on Monday for their “love, support and beautiful messages” as she navigates her “strange … grief.”
As for Jack, he broke his silence with a touching tribute of never-before-seen photos on Wednesday.
“My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude,” he wrote. “I got 14,501 days with that man and I know that is such a blessing.”
