Nicola Peltz re-wore her mom’s wedding dress for Brooklyn Beckham vow renewal

Something old and something blue — even for round two.

Nicola Peltz kept her family close at her recent vow renewal with husband Brooklyn Beckham last week. So close, in fact, that she wore the same ivory off-the-shoulder gown her mother, Claudia Heffner Peltz, wore to her own 1985 wedding to Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz.

The “Lola” actress, 30, reposted a fan’s side-by-side of the two bridal looks with the image caption, “nic wearing her mom’s wedding dress for her vow renewal 🥹🤍✨ i’m so obsessed!” on Instagram Stories on Tuesday, confirming the re-wear.

In the comments, fans gushed about the sentimental tribute, with one calling both ensembles “insanely beautiful.”

Nicola appears to have made at least one modern tweak to the design, swapping the relaxed bodice for a structured corset. The floral-adorned balloon sleeves and romantic full-length skirt remained intact from the 40-year-old original, however.

Even the details were a nostalgic nod to the past: the delicate crown of white flowers around her half-up ‘do echoed the style her mother wore to her nuptials.

Claudia was by her daughter’s side at last week’s celebrations, along with numerous members of the Peltz family. Nelson even officiated the ceremony, while siblings Brittany, Will, and Bradley Peltz posed with Nicola in photos shared on Instagram.

Conspicuously absent were Brooklyn’s parents, David and Victoria Beckham, who were recently photographed enjoying a vacation in Italy with their son Cruz, 20, and his girlfriend.

Brooklyn, 26, tied the knot with the actress in April 2022 in Florida at the Peltz family’s extravagant oceanfront mansion. The bride wore a custom Valentino Haute Couture gown — notably not asking her fashion designer mother-in-law to design her bridal look.

At the time, Peltz claimed that the snub was not a sign of bad blood, but rather Beckham’s namesake label’s atelier could not accamodate the request.

Of the recent vow renewal, Beckham told People he and his wife “just wanted a really beautiful experience — a really cute memory.”

For the recent event’s afterparty, Nicola chose another vintage look, swapping out the floor-skimming gown for a sheer blue dress from Dolce & Gabbana’s spring/summer 1998 collection.

The archive piece featured silk butterflies (one of Peltz’s favorite motifs) across the strap and bodice and an airy chiffon train. Peltz paired the style with a gold seashell clutch and towering sandals, showing off the look on Instagram in snaps with family and friends.
