Janice Dickinson Shares Photos From Brutal ‘I’m a Celebrity’ Injury Amid Lawsuit Against the Show
Janice Dickinson offered a look at her severe injuries after a serious fall while filming U.K. reality show I’m a Celebrity.
Us Weekly obtained photos of Dickinson, 70, showing wounds on her face, including her forehead, nose, lip and chin. According to the images, there is a combination of scratches and bruising. Photos also showed the wounds when they were open and after a bit of scarring.
Us can confirm that Dickinson filed a personal injury lawsuit against ITV Studios, the company that produces the reality show, in connection with her past injuries. She is being represented by Taylor Hampton Solicitors, a U.K.-based firm that previously represented several celebrities, including Hugh Grant, Elizabeth Hurley and Elton John. Dickinson is seeking more than $900,000 in compensation.
After her initial complaint in September 2025, Dickinson has now taken her case to the High Court in the U.K.
Dickinson allegedly got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom while filming the I’m a Celebrity all stars installment in September 2022. This particular season was filmed in South Africa. Dickinson apparently tripped in the dark which resulted in her injuries. (Dickinson made her I’m a Celebrity debut in 2007, before returning years later.)
Dickinson previously described the incident as “the most frightening night of my life,” during an interview with The Sun in September 2025.
“Those motherf***ers left me there bleeding in the dark for 10 minutes. The guy whose job it was to watch us was negligent,” she alleged at the time. “ITV had a duty of care and they let me down.”
Dickinson claimed that she “walked three steps” before tripping on a bench and falling on her face.
As part of the filing, Dickinson received a report from a Los Angeles-based plastic surgeon who concluded that Dickinson “sustained permanent facial scarring, deformity and nerve damage.” The past injuries not only impacted Dickinson’s appearance but allegedly affected her facial movement and sensation, which cannot be repaired surgically.
“Janice Dickinson’s letter of claim has been received and reviewed,” a spokesperson for ITV told U.K.’s The Independent in a statement published on Friday, January 16. “I’m a Celebrity operates a high level of safety protocols and the health, safety and welfare of all of our contributors are our number one priority.”
They continued, “We don’t recognize this version of events. However, we looked after Janice at the time, paid her medical expenses, flew her home to L.A., and the I’m a Celebrity team were in regular contact with Janice and her representatives on an ongoing basis after she returned home to America until after the program aired seven months later.”
At the time, ITV addressed the incident, explaining that after Dickinson tripped, she was treated by a medical team onsite before being taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. A call was made by producers that Dickinson should exit the series to ensure recovery.
“I did my fair share in standing up, falling down. Getting my face in the dirt,” Dickinson said in an exit interview at the time. “I felt like they could have possibly cleaned my wounds and set me back on my path in there. But production made the right decision in the end to not send me back in.”
