Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa had a Game of Thrones reunion in New York City. The actors crossed paths again while Clarke was in town for a visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Clarke, 39, shared a photo of the pair posing together on Instagram and revealed the moment came as a surprise. “New York has given me so many things to be grateful for on this trip and just when I thought it couldn’t be better…look who walked into my dressing room,” she captioned the post on Jan. 15.
Clarke was in the dressing room at The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she was promoting her show Ponies. Momoa, 46, stopped in to say hello, turning the trip into an unexpected full-circle moment for longtime fans.
In the photo, Clarke wore a long-sleeved black top paired with a long black skirt. Momoa wore brown pants and an olive vest, finishing the look with a top hat and sunglasses.
Clarke also leaned into their iconic Game of Thrones dynamic with two hashtags in her caption. She wrote “#mydragondaddy” and “#westillgotit 🔥,” referencing the characters they played on the series.
Momoa, who played Khal Drogo, responded directly to Clarke in the comments. “Love u Khalessi ❤️❤️❤️❤️ miss u,” he wrote, using a nickname for her character Daenerys Targaryen.
Fans quickly filled the comments with throwbacks to the couple’s on-screen terms of endearment. Drogo famously called Daenerys “Moon of my life,” while she called him “Sun and Stars.”
The reunion came after the actors had last linked up publicly in 2021. At the time, Clarke and Momoa also shared the moment on social media while celebrating an early birthday outing for Game of Thrones co-creator David Benioff.

Clarke had marked that meetup with a nod to their characters, writing, “When your sun and stars rolls into town you check that he can still bench press a khaleesi.” Momoa had returned the love with his own sweet tribute, calling her, “MOON OF MY LIFE” and adding, “you are wonderful.”
While Clarke visited The Kelly Clarkson Show to promote Ponies, Momoa also made the rounds in New York City for his own project. He stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote his movie The Wrecking Crew.
