New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks Heading to the 2026 Super Bowl for a Rematch

The 2026 Super Bowl is throwing it back to 2015!

The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks are set to face off in Super Bowl LX, after the Patriots beat the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship and the Seahawks won their NFC Championship matchup with the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Jan. 25.

The big game, which will be played Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., is a rematch of the 2015 Super Bowl when the Tom Brady-led Patriots snagged a 28-24 victory over Russell Wilson and the Seahawks.

This time around, New England has 23-year-old quarterback Drake Maye leading the team and will play in the Super Bowl for the first time since the Brady and Bill Belichick era in 2019. The Patriots defied the odds all season to make the championship game, with head coach Mike Vrabel in his first season helming the team.

Vrabel and his defense led the way to their 10-7 win over the Broncos in the AFC Championship, who were missing star quarterback Bo Nix after he broke a bone in his ankle.

The Sam Darnold-led Seahawks, meanwhile, were in an offensive battle against Matthew Stafford and the Rams, but held on to their lead to win 31-27 and punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.

The Patriots now have a shot at their seventh Super Bowl ring — and first without Brady and Belichick — while the Seahawks hope to snag their second, after winning their first Super Bowl in 2014.

The stands in Santa Clara will likely be filled with celebrity fans — the Patriots have Cardi B, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon on their side, while Seahawks super fans include Chris Pratt and Macklemore.
