’90 Day Fiancé’: Mido pressures Debby to move to Hollywood to start his acting career
Mido seems more eager to start his acting career in the US than to be with his fiancée, Debby, in Page Six’s exclusive clip from Sunday’s new episode of “90 Day Fiancé.”
In the teaser, Mido — who just arrived from Egypt to be with Debby, who lives in New Orleans — asks Debby how far Hollywood is from the Big Easy. When she tells him it’s a couple of days if they drive, he’s shocked. He tells her that he can’t wait to start his career and boldly asks her to move to Hollywood.
Not surprisingly, Debby is bewildered by the huge request, but he reminds her that he left everything behind in Egypt to be with her.
“You will just move from New Orleans to Hollywood!” he tells her.
Debby tells cameras that it’s “concerning” that in Mido’s first couple of days in America, he only seems to care about jump-starting his acting career.
“I mean, we still have a wedding to plan in 90 days,” she notes.
Debby, 55, tells Mido, 41, that for now, she just wants to enjoy being with him and not worry about his job.
“I don’t really know where Mido’s head is, if he’s here for me or if he’s here for some big pipe dream,” she admits to cameras. “And if it doesn’t translate, I don’t know if he’ll stay.”
Still, Mido is insistent about moving to Hollywood to become a movie star.
“I have more dreams, you know, no one can stop me,” he tells her, adding, “I’m not coming here to play, OK?”
In a previous episode, Debby explained how she started dating Mido after they met while he was her tour guide in Egypt.
She told cameras that he was a “movie star” in his home country — despite her actually never seeing any of the alleged films he’s been in.
She believed him, however, bringing up the fact that he has thousands of followers on Instagram.
“He doesn’t show me his work,” she admitted. “I don’t know why. I’ve asked him to send me like reels of stuff that he’s done, but he says I’m not going to understand what they’re saying.”
The new episode of “90 Day Fiancé” premieres Sunday, May 31, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
