Melissa Gorga Debuts New Chocolate Chip Cookie With Support From Teresa Giudice and RHONJ Cast (Exclusive)
As The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans know, Melissa Gorga sure loves her sprinkle cookies — and now she’s sharing that love with her fellow reality TV stars.
To celebrate her Let’s Sprinkle by MG brand’s newest chocolate chip cookie recipe, Gorga, 47, hosted a launch party on Thursday, June 18, where RHONJ costars Teresa Giudice and Dolores Catania — as well as more season 15 cast members — were in attendance to show their support. (Melissa married Teresa’s brother, Joe Gorga, in 2004.)
“It’s really, really nice, and at the end of the day, like whatever we went through, Teresa and I, and Dolores [and I, as well] have been through so much through the years,” Melissa exclusively told Us Weekly at the event, planned by Lawrence Scott Events, while reflecting on her now-squashed family feud. “At the end of the day, they know that I work really, really hard. That is one thing that I don’t think anyone would ever take from me.”
She continued, “I put my heart and soul into this, and this was something that, when it took off we had like $500,000 in sales in the first two months, to watch my children sit with me and watch the numbers grow and watch me like attack it and get the packaging, and it was rough. Those two months I was overwhelmed, I sold out. I owed people cookies. It was chaos … because I had no idea that this was gonna hit hard, and I worked really hard, and cookies speak for themselves.”
In 2024, Melissa founded her lifestyle brand, which now offers a chocolate chip cookie with sprinkles baked right into the center.
“I never knew when I dropped [the first] cookie two weeks before Christmas, it [would go] completely viral, like, crazy,” Melissa recalled to Us of launching her company. “I think that everyone, obviously, knew that I had this crazy love for sprinkle cookies, and … I had no idea it would become the brand it has. I mean, we went from the sprinkle cookies to the coffee cake to now a chocolate chip sprinkle cookie.”
According to Melissa, she chose to make a chocolate chip cookie since “it’s a classic” sweet treat.
“I have an almond flavored butter sprinkle cookie, so if you’re not into that, I wanted to give another option,” she said. “[There are] just a few sprinkles because if you’re not a big sprinkle fan, these are more like little sugar crystals.”
The chocolate chip cookie has already won over Melissa’s family. (The Bravolebrity and Joe, 51, are parents of daughter Antonia, 20, as well as sons Gino, 18, and Joey, 16.)
“Joe and Gino are chocolate chip cookie guys,” she gushed. “My baker, and I went back and forth so many times until I got the right because I wanted it to be a little soft but not too soft, chewy but not too chewy, so [we] went back and forth. Gino and Joe, and myself obviously, were with my baker, just like figuring it all out, everyone’s pretty happy.”
The Let’s Sprinkle by MG chocolate chip cookie with sprinkles will be available online beginning Monday, June 22 at letssprinklebymg.com for nationwide shipping.
