Taylor Frankie Paul checks herself into rehab as co-parenting drama escalates
Taylor Frankie Paul checked herself into rehab amid her escalating co-parenting drama with exes Dakota Mortensen and Tate Paul.
The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star did so “upon the recommendation of her doctor” and has already departed, People reported Tuesday.
“She’s committed to getting better,” a source told the outlet without specifying the timeline of her stay. “The people around Taylor want her to get help [and] see her get better.”
The insider added that “everyone is just trying to protect the kids,” referencing Paul’s three little ones — daughter Indy, 8, son Ocean, 6, and son Ever, 2.
She welcomed the latter with ex Dakota Mortensen and shares her eldest two children with ex-husband Tate Paul.
TMZ was first to report the reality star’s rehab stint on Tuesday, claiming Taylor’s stay was one week long.
The Hulu personality’s time in the facility reportedly sparked tension with Mortensen, 33, as a source close to the real estate agent claimed it violated their dual protective orders.
Taylor allegedly had a third party reach out to a third party to set up visitation with Ever in an attempt to make up for a visit she missed while in rehab.
The Bluffdale Police Department in Utah confirmed to Us Weekly on Monday that Mortensen called them to discuss whether a potential violation occurred.
The authorities subsequently spoke to Taylor and will ultimately decide whether she breached the order.
Taylor posted via TikTok about the drama, writing in a since-deleted post, “Cops called on me again THIS WEEK … What are the odds? And it’s not people … it’s ONE person, the same person. It’s obsessive.”
A source tells Page Six that the exes “have not seen or spoken to each other since the protective orders were issued” in April.
Mortensen currently has primary physical custody of Ever, with Taylor granted supervised visitation.
Meanwhile, news broke Tuesday that Tate had filed a restraining order against Taylor and requested sole custody of Indy and Ocean.
A source close to Taylor called the filing “a direct result” of Mortensen “telling Tate lies about her,” per TMZ.
The insider alleged, “She feels Dakota will do anything to hurt her … including using the children, but she is a survivor.”
Taylor’s rep has yet to respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The reality TV star and Tate were married between 2016 and 2022, while Taylor and Mortensen had an on-again, off-again relationship until 2025.
They have both since accused each other of domestic violence.
