Prince Harry and Prince William dodge questions about Charles Spencer’s Princess Diana memoir

Prince Harry and Prince William awkwardly dodged questions regarding their uncle Charles Spencer’s bombshell memoir about the brothers’ late mom, Princess Diana.

On Monday, a reporter asked the Duke of Sussex about the book when he arrived at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London for the WellChild Awards.

“Have you spoken to your uncle in the last few days?” the journalist called out to Harry as he got out of his vehicle to make his way into the hotel, per a video shared online.

The “Spare” author, 42, did not respond.

The following day, William, 44, made an appearance at the ActOne Cinema to celebrate the British film industry.

Per a clip shared online, a reporter asked the Prince of Wales: “So, how do you feel about your uncle’s book? How do you like it?”

William ignored the question as he continued inside the venue.

“Swan Song: Diana, My Sister,” Spencer’s book about his late sister, Diana, was released worldwide on Tuesday.

In the memoir, Spencer, 62, made several bombshell claims about the royal family the former Princess of Wales married into.

The 9th Earl Spencer claimed in the book that Diana’s ex-husband, King Charles III, allegedly “sounded giddily elated — like a lottery winner” when he learned of the activist’s death in 1997.

“Looking back now, I suspect the prince’s first reaction must have been to think more of how this event might free him to marry the woman he loved, rather than appreciating the loss of one he did not,” Spencer wrote, referring to now-Queen Camilla, whom Charles wed in 2005.

Spencer also claimed in the book that Charles, 77, threw a tantrum years later over the author not wanting his then pre-teen nephews William and Harry to walk behind Diana’s coffin at her funeral.

“He unleashed down the phone what I have always taken to be his pent-up contempt for Diana, and his horror that the world was so bowled over by her death,” Spencer writes. “‘Rest assured,’” he hissed, ‘we’ll forget her soon enough!’”
