Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s Los Angeles Home Burglarized on Valentine’s Day: Reports

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s Los Angeles home was reportedly targeted by burglars on Valentine’s Day.
The couple’s home was broken into on Friday, Feb. 14, and police were alerted to the incident at around 8 p.m., police sources familiar with the investigation told NBC News, ABC News and TMZ.
It’s unclear how many burglars were involved or what was taken, but police sources told outlets the culprits allegedly smashed a glass door or window to break in before ransacking the home and fleeing.
Kidman and Urban, both 57, were not home at the time, but a member of their household staff entered the home around the time of the burglary, which scared the intruders and caused them to run off, according to a TMZ report.
It is unclear if police have arrested any suspects related to the case.
PEOPLE has reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department and the couple’s reps for comment.
Sources told ABC News they don’t believe the couple was specifically targeted for their high profile, but rather that their home was chosen for its size and location.

The pair were reportedly in Las Vegas at the time of the burglary for Urban’s residency at the Fontainebleau. On Instagram, the “Somebody Like You” singer shared photos from his performance that night, along with pictures of him with fans.
Urban also shared a black and white snap of him and Kidman walking off into the hotel together with their arms around each other. “Valentines in vegas,” he captioned the Instagram post, which he shared on Monday, Feb. 17.
The incident comes on the heels of a string of burglaries at the homes of celebrities and athletes, including the homes of Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Joe Burrow.
Federal prosecutors have charged seven Chilean men in connection with the burglaries, linking the alleged crimes to a South American theft group. Authorities say the suspects allegedly stole millions in valuables while the athletes were away.
