Adam Sandler’s wife Jackie and daughters Sadie and Sunny dazzle at Venice Film Festival

When funny guy Adam Sandler is your family patriarch, it can be hard to steal the spotlight. But daughters Sadie and Sunny just met that challenge head-on with an unusually glam family appearance at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday.

The Sandlers coordinated in black and white looks — including Adam Sandler in a rare formal tuxedo —with Jackie wearing a white strapless dress, Sadie, 19, in a black column gown with straps, and Sunny, 16, looking striking in a white halter-neck design.

The foursome was in town to celebrate the premiere of “Jay Kelly,” also starring George Clooney, which later received a 10-minute standing ovation.

While Mr. Sandler is known for his decidedly underdressed appearance on red carpets, this is the family’s second outing this summer in which the Sandler women have shown up in sartorial synchrony.

In July, Sadie, Sunny and Jackie attended the premiere of “Happy Gilmore 2,” wearing a combination of denim, black and white looks for the more casual event.

Meanwhile, in true Sandlercore, the funnyman donned a neon green Hawaiian shirt with clashing peach Nike gym shorts and the requisite Gilmore golf club.

The girls have frequently been seen supporting their showman father on set and at various industry events since the early ’00s, including the unveiling of their dad’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011.

Sadie and Sunny have also dipped their toes into the talent pool with recent roles in “Happy Gilmore 2,” “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” and the animated “Hotel Transylvania.”

So, is this the summer that the Sandler girls officially turned pretty?

No shade to The Sandman, but we have a feeling the spotlight will be on the increasingly stylish Sadie and Sunny Sandler as they step into their own very soon.
