Amal Clooney sports feathered dress for date night with George Clooney

Amal Clooney is in fine feather.

For a Monday night out in Lake Como, Italy with husband George Clooney, the lawyer and human rights activist, 47, wore an off-the-shoulder Taller Marmo minidress trimmed with ostrich feathers along the cuffs and hem.

While Clooney’s peach version is currently sold out, there are a few sizes left in black ($1,450 $435) for fans looking to re-create the look.

She finished the look with statement drop earrings, a gold metallic clutch, silver stiletto sandals and her signature face-framing waves.

George, for his part, wore a gray suit with a casual black T-shirt underneath and loafers. They were joined by actress Shailene Woodley and other friends for dinner, too.

The couple were celebrating one last night in Lake Como before hitting the Venice Film Festival in style on Tuesday.

The feathered mini is the latest in a series of standout looks Clooney has sported this summer in Italy.

Earlier this month, she chose a silver sequined Bagdley Mishka one-shoulder dress for a dinner date in the lakeside town and, days later, she stepped out in a white fringed gown with a column silhouette that drew comparisons to flapper styles.

Despite the 1920s feel of the latter look, the dress was a 1970s original by Loris Azzaro, sourced by Paris vintage showroom Mon Vintage.

While best known professionally for her human rights work and legal advocacy, Clooney’s wardrobe has long drawn attention for its polish and panache.

This summer’s focus on embellished evening looks suggests a more playful direction, contrasting with the tailored suiting and structured day dresses she often wears for professional appearances.
