Ashley St. Clair claps back at Elon Musk after he threatens to sue for full custody of son
Ashley St. Clair clapped back at Elon Musk after he threatened to sue for custody of their son over her alleged implication that she “might transition [their] one-year-old boy.”
When asked by CNN anchor Erin Burnett about the billionaire’s threatening tweet about Romulus, St. Clair replied, “I’m not at liberty to discuss it further, but I think anyone with more than a third-grade reading comprehension level knows what I was saying there.”
Page Six has reached out to Musk for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
Over the weekend, St. Clair took to X to apologize for her past comments about the transgender community that a fan labeled as “blatant transphobia.”
“I feel immense guilt for my role. And even more guilt that things I have said in the past may have caused my son’s sister more pain,” she tweeted, referring to Musk’s trans daughter, Vivian Wilson.
“[I don’t really know] how to make amends for many of these things but I have been trying incredibly hard privately to learn + advocate for those within the trans community that I’ve hurt,” the former conservative influencer added.
“I also haven’t said much on this bc I have gone back and forth over whether my voice would be helpful on the issue since it will be framed as disingenuous or just turning bc I’m ‘scorned.’ Even this reply will become right wing hysteria but yeah I am sorry.”
A fan tweeted a screenshot of St. Clair’s apology to the Tesla CEO, 54, claiming the “Elephants Are Not Birds” author was “insane” for “coming out in support of trans grooming.”
In response, Musk wrote, “I will be filing for full custody today, given her statements implying she might transition a one-year-old boy.”
Last February, St. Clair took to Musk’s social media platform, X, to reveal that she welcomed the businessman’s 13th child five months prior.
The next day, the mom of one blasted the tech giant for refusing to publicly acknowledge his role as the father of her newborn child.
“Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days and you have not responded,” St. Clair wrote in a now-deleted tweet.
“When are you going to reply to us instead of publicly responding to smears from an individual who just posted photos of me in underwear at 15 years old?”
In March 2025, St. Clair claimed Musk “substantially” reduced his child support payments to her after she sued for sole custody of Romulus.
She also claimed the wealthiest person in the world offered her $15 million to keep their child a secret.
Last summer, St. Clair revealed she was facing eviction amid her child support battle with Musk.
The SpaceX founder is also the father of 13 other children, whom he shares with three women.
