Barbra Streisand makes surprise donation to Hamptons temple

We hear that Barbra Streisand made a generous surprise donation to the Hampton Synagogue in Westhampton Beach as a tribute to her longtime communications whiz, Ken Sunshine.
The EGOT legend made the gift to celebrate 33 years with Sunshine, a member of the congregation.
The Hamptons holy spot is known as a must-stop for campaigning politicos of all parties, and visitors have included Eric Adams, Hillary Clinton, Andrew Cuomo, Marco Rubio and Lindsey Graham.
Sunshine quipped: “Our company used to be the House that Babs and Bill built. Bill Clinton was [the] second client when we started. Then this Leo guy came along, then later Lin-Manuel. But it started with Babs.”
(For those living under a rock, he’s of course referring to Leonardo DiCaprio and Lin-Manuel Miranda!)
Sunshine began his career in politics, as chief of staff for Mayor David Dinkins. He then launched Ken Sunshine Consultants in 1991, which became power agency Sunshine Sachs.
Sunshine added of client No. 1: “She took a chance on me and a brand-new company 33 years ago, and we’re still going strong.”
Streisand’s latest album, “The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two,” includes of 11 duets with fellow top music stars including Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Sting and Sam Smith, as well as a mega-trio collab with Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande.
Sunshine had told us back in March when we reported on buzz that the new duets album was planned: “What wonderful rumors. I’m confirming nothing — except that there is no duet with Elon Musk. And yes — she sings better than ever.”
Billboard reported this week that Babs’ team will submit the song, “One Heart, One Voice,” with Carey and Grande, for Grammy consideration as record of the year, song of the year and best pop duo/group performance.
They’re also entering “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” featuring Streisand and Hozier for best arrangement, instruments and vocals.
The “Meet the Fockers” star has previously been nominated for collaborations with Michael Crawford, Celine Dion, and Bryan Adams.
