Bryan Cranston takes shot at Shia LaBeouf with harsh four-word dig
Bryan Cranston has some blunt advice for Shia LaBeouf as the “Holes” star continues to face legal troubles stemming from his recent bar brawls.
“Shia, get some help,” the “Breaking Bad” alum, 70, said in his joint interview with Frankie Muniz for Esquire’s “Inquiring Minds,” which was published on Wednesday.
Cranston’s message came about as his “Malcolm in the Middle” co-star reflected on the early days of his career as a child actor.
“I remember everybody kind of really pushing me to do ‘Holes’ just because of the story, and it’s a little more dramatic,” Muniz told Cranston.
“Shia LaBeouf ended up doing it, which I think kind of really catapulted his movie career.”
LaBeouf, of course, went on to become a household name after that breakthrough role, landing major film credits like “Transformers,” “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” and “I, Robot.”
As Muniz examined LaBeouf’s filmography, he couldn’t help but wonder if things had been different, “Would I have been taken more seriously as an actor?”
Cranston then chimed in, saying Muniz “could have ended up with Shia LaBeouf’s life” before letting out a long whistle.
“Keep that one in,” Cranston quickly joked.
A rep for LaBeouf did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
LaBeouf most recently made headlines last month after his legal woes continued to mount following reports that the former Disney star was involved in yet another “physical altercation” in the Big Easy.
Sources told TMZ the actor ripped his shirt off while fighting outside the Le Bon Temps Roule establishment — just weeks after being hit with three counts of misdemeanor simple battery for getting into a wild Mardi Gras brawl with three men.
LaBeouf also found himself embroiled in another lawsuit with ex FKA Twigs last month, after she filed a legal complaint against him, accusing him of trying to “silence her” with their 2020 settlement document stemming from her sexual battery lawsuit.
In addition to the ongoing lawsuits, LaBeouf has also recently made headlines for exhibiting bizarre and explosive behavior.
On March 17, it was reported that the actor caused a commotion in a hotel lobby in Italy, stripping down to his boxer briefs and asking guests for a light for his cigarette.
He was also seen on video during his Italian vacation shouting at a woman while lounging outdoors at a local eatery.
