Carlos Alcaraz has style both on and off the court!

The tennis star, 22, debuted a brand-new ‘do, dyeing his dark hair from brown to platinum blonde just two days after being named Grand Slam champion of the 2025 US Open on Sunday, Sept. 7.

On Instagram, Alcaraz — who defeated Jannik Sinner in four sets to win his second title at the prestigious tournament held in New York — shared a carousel of images, teasing the process of his hairstyle switch-up.

The first photo featured the athlete sitting in the styling chair while his older brother, Alvaro Alcaraz, took a shaver to his head. Clippings of his dark brown locks covered his shoulders and chest as he smiled wide at the same time.

The last photo in his slideshow pictured Alcaraz sitting outside with tinfoil wrapped around his head. Beneath the metal, pieces of his hair stuck out, revealing bleached strands amid the process.

“Blessed hands 🏆💈,” he captioned the post, shared on Sept. 9.

In another Instagram post, his barber — who’s known as “victorbarbers5” online — shared a roundup of photos that documented Alcaraz’s hairstyling process, from the buzz down to the final bleached look.

“Number 1 again and new look 💈,” he captioned his upload in part.

Alcaraz’s recent major win marks his second victory at the US Open. He last won in 2022 at age 19, which was his first Grand Slam title and the tournament where he first rose to World No. 1.

To date, the Spanish tennis star has six Grand Slams to his name. They include the French Open (2024, 2025) and Wimbledon (2023, 2024), in addition to his US Open victories.

While fashion notably had a moment during the US Open this year (look at Naomi Osaka’s crystal-encrusted Labubu dolls that coordinated with each of her outfits, for example), Alcaraz hasn’t shied away himself.

In fact, the six-time Grand Slam champ also debuted a new ‘do at the start tournament this year before his first-round US Open match against Reilly Opelka on Aug. 25.

The look was a polarizing one, to which Alcaraz blamed one of his brothers for botching the assignment.

“My brother misunderstood with the machine he cut it,” he told reporters after his straight sets win. “And the only way to fix it is to shave it off.”

“To be honest, it’s not that good,” he added, before quickly correcting himself. “It’s not that bad, I guess.”
