Death of ‘90 Day Fiance’ Alums Eric Rosenbrook and Leida Margaretha’s Baby Ruled ‘Non-Accidental’

New details are being revealed regarding the death of Eric Rosenbrook and Leida Margaretha’s newborn.

Nearly eight months after the former 90 Day Fiancé stars confirmed the death of their daughter, Alisa, the medical examiner’s office has shared an update.

According to Starcasm, the Adams County Health and Human Services Department’s initial assessment deemed the death as “non-accidental.”

The assessment also reportedly “found a preponderance of the evidence to substantiate maltreatment of physical abuse to the infant by the mother.”

The Wisconsin report states no criminal charges have been filed in connection with the baby’s death, and the investigation remains ongoing. Leida’s attorney, Taylor Hart, confirmed the finding to TMZ, but did not have additional comment.

Us Weekly has reached out to Leida’s attorney and Rosenbrook for comment. An official cause and manner of death is expected to be finalized, pending a full autopsy report.

In July 2025, Rosenbrook confirmed the death of his newborn daughter, who he shared with Margaretha.

“It destroys me and shatters my world to announce that over the weekend, tragedy has struck,” he wrote via Facebook at the time. “Yesterday at 12:53 PM after 5 days on life support, my beloved daughter, little Alisa Eleanor Rosenbrook, slipped the surely bonds to join her grandfather Tom.”

Rosenbrook added, “I do not want well wishes or questions. I will not answer anything, read or reply. I ask just for prayers for her.”

Days before her daughter’s death, Margaretha shared a personal post on social media.

“Dear God… You can take away my life but do not take away my daughter’s life…” she reportedly wrote. “She just born… And God… If this is going to be my lesson to appreciate life since I’ve been struggling with suicidal thoughts then take away my trauma… Help. Me. Find. Peace. Help. Me. Forgive.”

Rosenbrook and Margaretha first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 6, which aired in 2018. Viewers watched as Rosenbrook met his future wife on an international dating site. Despite Margaretha being over 10 years his junior, Rosenbrook fell in love.

In the middle of her grieving process, Margaretha is facing 24 felony charges in Wisconsin for various alleged crimes, including wire fraud, forgery and theft.

Prosecutors say she committed the crimes between November 2023 and March 2024. According to court documents viewed by Us on January 17, Margaretha pleaded not guilty during a court hearing at the Juneau County Justice Center earlier in the month.
