Destiny’s Child reunites at Beyoncé’s final ‘Cowboy Carter’ show
Girl power.
Destiny’s Child shocked fans by reuniting onstage for the first time in seven years at Beyoncé’s final “Cowboy Carter” tour stop.
During the “Drunk In Love” singer’s sold-out show at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday night, she brought out Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
The ladies performed some of their beloved throwback songs, including their 2001 hit “Bootylicious” and their 2005 track “Lose My Breath.”
Rowland, 44, and Williams, 46, also helped Beyoncé, 43, perform her 2022 song “Energy” — complete with the “mute challenge.”
Once the moment of silence ended, the women jumped up and down as Beyoncé sang, “Look around, it’s me and my crew. Big energy!”
The last time the trio hit the stage together was at Beyoncé’s headlining Coachella set in April 2018.
Williams, Rowland and the “Cuff It” singer performed their hits “Lose My Breath,” “Say My Name” and “Soldier.”
Destiny’s Child was founded in 1997 in Houston and first consisted of Beyoncé, Rowland, LeToya Luckett, also 44, and LaTavia Roberson, also 43.
The “Torn” singer and Roberson were later replaced by Williams and Farrah Franklin after they fell out with the group’s manager and Beyoncé’s dad, Mathew Knowles.
However, in 2000, Franklin, also 44, parted with the group, leaving them as a trio.
After becoming one of the most successful girl groups of all time, Beyoncé went solo and released her debut album, “Dangerously In Love,” in 2003.
The “Crazy In Love” songstress, Williams and Rowland have remained close over the years and support each other’s endeavors.
Aside from bringing out her bandmates at the final “Cowboy Carter” tour stop, Beyoncé also brought out her husband, Jay-Z, and country star Shaboozey.
