‘Golden Bachelorette’ Joan Vassos reveals daughter dated Stefon Diggs

“Golden Bachelorette” alum Joan Vassos revealed her daughter Allison once dated Stefon Diggs.

“She was a senior in high school, and he went to a high school that was down the road. So, she dated him,” the Maryland native said of the bizarre connection on Friday’s episode of Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti’s “Almost Famous” podcast.

Vassos, who raised her children in Rockville, explained that the New England Patriots wide receiver “came over to my house all the time. I have pictures of him with my family.”

One image, in particular, was from a birthday dinner for the 63-year-old’s late husband John, who shared a birthday with Diggs, 32.

Vassos — who shared Nicholas, 36, Erica, 33, Allison, 30, and Luke, 29, with John — recalled, “We took him to Morton’s [steakhouse] for dinner. I have a picture of them at Morton’s.”

Diggs attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland, a 20 minute drive from Rockville. After graduating in 2012, he attended University of Maryland for three years before joining the NFL.

Allison is now married to husband Noah Joseph and has a son named Boomer as Diggs and on-again, off-again girlfriend Cardi B sparked split rumors over Super Bowl 2026 weekend.

Diggs and Cardi, who welcomed a baby boy in November 2025, fueled the rumors when they unfollowed each other on social media.

Cardi first set the internet abuzz ahead of the big game when an ESPN reporter asked her if she had any inspiring words for Diggs ahead of the game.

She cooly replied: “Good luck,” before walking off.

Diggs’ team lost the championship game to the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, where Cardi left early after appearing in Bad Bunny’s halftime show.

Meanwhile, Diggs previously teased that an engagement could be in the near future if the Patriots took home the championship ring.

“It’s on the agenda,” he told reporters during the Super Bowl opening night. “Maybe, right? I gotta get [my Super Bowl ring] first.”

The athlete also took a moment to gush over the rapper — who shares kids Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 16 months, with ex-husband Offset.

“As a significant other I really appreciate it,” Diggs said about Cardi’s support throughout the season. “It’s a level of appreciation because she’s an amazing woman. Being there for me is hard, you can imagine. I’m a lot to deal with but I never want to not let her know that I appreciate her for being there. Not just for the games but she supported me when she wasn’t there.”

“She was watching the games,” he continued. “She was texting me before the games and after the games and checking on me making sure that I was alright.”

50 Cent couldn’t help but poke fun at Diggs after his Super Bowl loss and rumored breakup.

“Can you imagine waking up this morning and you done lost this b!tch and the Super Bowl,” the rapper wrote via Instagram on Monday.

“I would tell everybody get away from me, have a drink and go back to sleep. LOL.”

Cardi remained unbothered, as she splurged on a $500,000 Audemars Piguet timepiece from Benny the Jeweler just days after the game.

“A little gift for me from me,” she gushed in Benny’s Instagram Reel on Monday.

Cardi said she purchased the watch “to set myself up the proper way for tour.”

The hitmaker, whose Little Miss Drama Tour kicks off Wednesday in Palm Desert, Calif., noted: “I better see you all on tour.”
