Hailey Bieber seemingly shades Scooter Braun after he praised Justin’s new album
Hailey Bieber threw apparent shade at Scooter Braun after he gushed over Justin’s new album “Swag,” calling it “beautiful, raw, and truly him.”
The Rhode skincare mogul took to Instagram Stories Saturday with a side-eye selfie — with hilariously magnified eyes and lips. She added Mariah Carey’s song “Obsessed” as a soundtrack to the moody pic.
Hailey shared the goofy pic and pointed song within minutes of Braun’s effusive post about Justin, which he also shared to Instagram Stories Saturday.
Justin’s former manager notably praised the singer’s seventh studio album as “the most authentically Justin Bieber album to date,” and said that “there comes a time when an artist fully steps into their own — and that’s what he’s done here.”
“He poured his soul into this project, and you can feel it in every single run,” Braun continued in part.
He added in the lengthy post, “I’ve played no role in this one, but as someone who’s always believed in him, I’m incredibly proud and impressed and genuinely enjoying the music.”
The record exec pointed to “Daisies” as his favorite track — noting it’s “special tone” — and invited followers to “stream Swag and support an authentic voice.”
Reps for Braun and Hailey didn’t immediately responds to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Both Braun’s post and Hailey’s alleged reaction come two days after Justin, 31, reportedly reached a multimillion-dollar agreement in a financial dispute with his former mentor.
The “Peaches” singer — whose wife became a billionaire via her Rhode brand’s deal with e.l.f. Beauty in May — will pay out $26 million he reportedly owes to Braun, plus half of $11 million the record exec says Justin owes him for unpaid commissions from their time working together, according to TMZ.
The debt stems from a $40 million advance from tour-backing company AEG, who requested the singer repay them what had already been loaned after he backed out of the “Justice” tour in 2022.
Braun reportedly took care of the debt through his Hybe company, with the singer reportedly agreeing to pay back the debt. According to People, prior to this week’s agreement, the pop star had only completed a single payment to his ex-manager and still owed him $26 million.
“[Braun] stepped in to help him,” an insider told Page Six in May.
Following the financial agreement, Bieber dropped “Swag” on Friday via Def Jam Recordings.
Hailey, 28, took to Instagram Stories to support her husband ahead of the release on Thursday. Along with a photo repost of a billboard promoting the album, she wrote, “Is it finally clocking to you f–king losers?” — a nod to the singer’s recent rant towards the paparazzi.
