Brandon Blackstock’s brother Shelby is remembering the “irreplaceable” former talent manager after his tragic death.

In a touching Instagram tribute, Shelby shared a lengthy carousel of photos looking back on his late brother’s life and their family memories.

He opened the carousel with a photo of Brandon sitting atop a horse in full cowboy gear. In one of the pictures, the Blackstock family posed wearing big smiles alongside Reba McEntire, who was Brandon’s stepmom at one point.

“Words cannot begin to capture the tremendous loss our family has endured. Yesterday, we lost a brother, a father, a grandfather, and a son,” Shelby wrote on Friday.

“Brandon Blackstock was an irreplaceable part of our family—funny, bright, and full of life—and he will be deeply missed,” he continued.

Shelby, 35, went on, recalling how his big brother “taught [him] so much” and created “countless cherished memories” together.

“For every treasured moment we shared, there are so many more we’ll never get to make together, but I know you’ll still be there. Every hunt, every flight, and in the everyday moments of life, I’ll feel your presence,” he continued.

“And although it may annoy you, you’ll have to watch me do it all just a little better, a little smoother, and —let’s be honest— looking far more handsome than you ever could in the process.”

Shelby closed: “We will always miss you, Brandon, and we will never stop loving, remembering and celebrating you.”

Brandon died on Thursday following a three-year private battle with melanoma. He was 48.

In a statement, the family’s rep confirmed his death saying he “passed peacefully and was surrounded by family” after he “bravely” faced melanoma.

“We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” the statement read.

Brandon’s brother isn’t the only person mourning the loss.

After the death, a source told People his ex-wife Kelly Clarkson was left feeling “devastated” for her two kids — daughter River, 11, and son Remington, 9.

The “Because of You” hitmaker, 43, made sure she was there for her ex — whom she divorced in 2022 — during his final days by canceling her Las Vegas residency shows for the month of August.

She also took a few months off from her eponymous talk show in February and March to care for Brandon.

“When she found out that he was sick, she remained protective of him for their [kids] sake,” the insider shared, adding that Clarkson has “always tried to keep things classy.”

“It became clear earlier this year that Brandon was not doing well,” they continued. “She’s been devastated for the kids.”
