Love Island star Rachel Finni has given birth to her first ever child – welcoming a daughter while hinting at a traumatic birth.
Reality show fans will recall that 32-year-old Rachel was a contestant on ITV2’s dating show Love Island in 2021 during season seven of the show. She ended up being in the villa for little over a week before getting dumped from the island – starring in the same season that was won by Liam Reardon and Millie Court.
But now the star is entering a whole new chapter of her life – as a mum after welcoming a daughter that she has named Rae. While it is reported that Rachel has found love since her disastrous appearance in the Love Island villa just three years ago, she has actively avoided putting her partner in the spotlight, meaning the identity of baby Rae’s father is not publicly known. But he has been partially included in a rare photo shared by the Love Island star.
Taking to social media on Friday, Rachel proudly showed off her bundle of joy – sharing photos via Instagram as the week came to an end. The reality star shared an adorable snap of herself cuddling her daughter and captioned the image simply with her baby’s name, writing “Rae Viola Finni-Lopes” alongside a white heart emoji. However – she hinted that the birth had been traumatic.
In a snap that she shared via Instagram Stories, Rachel revealed that she had been left in pain following the arrival of her daughter. She wrote: “Wish I could say I was in a baby bubble – more so a pain web! I’m in extreme agony but just wanted to let you all know she’s here and perfect.”
The proud mum continued: “I am obsessed with this little girl down [to] the little hairs on her ears and the tiny nails on her toes. She also has the best dad in the world and I have the best family and friends.”
The image gave fans a rare glimpse of Rae’s father as he placed an affectionate hand on his baby daughter as his other stroked Rachel’s face. While he was largely cut out of the image, his nose and bearded chin could be seen at the edge of the image – while Rachel was staring up lovingly at him. Raw, meanwhile, looked blissfully asleep while wrapped up in a blanket and resting on top of the new mum.
After revealing the arrival of her daughter, Rachel’s post was met with an outpouring of support from fans and friends – with many congratulating her in the comments section of her post. One delighted fan said: “Gorgeous girls and I love the name! Congratulations mumma.” While another typed: “Well done darling, she’s adorable!”
