Jared Leto once admitted to sending used condoms, adult toys to ‘Suicide Squad’ co-stars

Jared Leto “wasn’t playing” when he went “full joker” by sending his “Suicide Squad” co-stars shocking gifts — including used condoms and anal beads.

In resurfaced footage from a 2016 interview with E! News, the actor admitted to having sent the sex toys and used condoms to “everybody” in the cast, and explained that it was all part of his character, the infamous Joker.

“I know it’s a family show, but we can educate people, at least they were used,” he told a shocked interviewer.

“I did a lot of things to create a dynamic,” he said at the time, “to create an element of surprise, spontaneity.”

He added, “And to really break down any walls that may be there. I mean, the Joker is somebody who doesn’t really respect things like personal space or boundaries.”

Cast members including Margot Robbie had various reactions — though Robbie, who played Harley Quinn, wasn’t shocked by the “weird things” she received from the “My So-Called Life” actor.

“I mean by that point, I kind of felt like I knew the joker a bit, so I — it wasn’t as alarming,” she told the outlet. “But there were many instances where I didn’t know what to expect with Jared.”

Will Smith, who played Deadshot in the 2016 film, noted that Leto had gone “full Joker” with the stunt, noting that “the rule is never go full Joker.”

“He really set the tone [for the character],” Smith went on. “He wasn’t playing with it. He was dead serious, as an actor he was going in …100 percent. And he really jarred the rest of us.”

A rep for Leto did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The resurfaced footage comes amid news that the “Dallas Buyers Club” star, 54, has been accused by four women of sexual misconduct when they were teenagers — a year after nine women accused the musician of sexual impropriety in an article published by Air Mail back in June 2025. Leto previously denied those allegations.

The BBC reported on Wednesday that the latest allegations — which are detailed by women using pseudonyms — are broken down in BBC documentary “Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret.”

Leto told Page Six in a statement on Wednesday that the new claims “are absolutely and categorically false.”

“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life,” he told us.
