Kamala Harris spotted dining at A-list Hollywood haunt Craig’s after losing election to Donald Trump
Is she ready for her Hollywood close-up?
Former Vice President Kamala Harris dined at West Hollywood celeb magnet Craig’s on Saturday night with husband Doug Emhoff and what appeared to be a crowd of power producers.
Though another insider said Harris was just dining with some pals.
One source told Page Six the couple was “with some Hollywood people,” adding, “It was a table full of producer and director types; definitely entertainment development.”
Another witness who saw Harris, 60, at the showbiz watering hole told us: “She was sitting in the booth that faces the wall, and it was about six people in the booth.”
The source added: “No paparazzi in front. Her husband was there. It looked like they were there with couples.”
The source said that Harris and Emhoff, also 60, were at the meal for over two hours, and “it didn’t look like a lot of security was there. No one was swarming her or anything. It was a lot of people in her booth. She looked happy.”
A different source familiar with the veep told us she was just having a night out with friends, and that the meeting was not about any new projects.
There has been speculation over Harris’ next move after her loss to Donald Trump. She has returned to her home state of California, though we reported that Emhoff recently toured a $20,000-a-month luxury condo on the Upper West Side.
Harris previously said, “It is not my nature to go quietly into the night. So, don’t worry about that.” She could run for California governor in next year’s election.
Then again, political and public figures have had a recent history of inking deals in Hollywood after leaving their posts.
Barack and Michelle Obama signed a multiyear deal with Netflix, and the streamer made a reported $100 million pact with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Melania Trump signed an Amazon deal for $40 million.
Craig’s has been a perennial draw for A-listers since opening in 2011, including Lady Gaga, Elton John, Cher, Kanye West and Johnny Depp, as well as reality TV regulars such as Luann de Lesseps, Taylor Armstrong, Kyle Richards and Jax Taylor, we’ve reported.
The LA Times reported the eatery’s also where Harris and Emhoff went on their first date.
Reps did not comment.
