Kate Middleton paired her houndstooth dress with a DeMellier bag that’s on sale for Black Friday
Kate Middleton loves to shop in her own closet. And we are totally here for it.
On Thursday, the Princess wore a light blue houndstooth dress from Emilia Wickstead on her visit to the Anna Freud Centre, a child mental health research, training and treatment facility, in London.
Middleton has worn this exact dress before — during a 2022 trip to Boston, Massachusetts — though it was then paired with a different, narrower belt and black pumps.
The dress features a pencil silhouette that hits at mid-calf, long sleeves and a pointy collar. On this latest occasion, Middleton paired it with gray embossed Hugo Boss pumps and her sapphire and diamond cluster earrings.
She also carried a new DeMellier bag for the outing — the Small Hudson style — and fans are in luck: The British brand is currently having a Black Friday sale, offering 20% off sitewide with code BF20.
Though this bag might be new to Middleton, it’s not the first time that she’s looked to DeMellier for an accessory. In fact, not only has she shopped multiple styles from the designer, but so have Queen Camilla and Meghan Markle.
A few years ago, People spoke with Mireia Llusia-Lindh, DeMellier’s founder, who shared: “It’s such a huge honor, I cannot emphasize enough what amazing ambassadors they are for Britain as a country and for British brands like ours.”
In fact, speaking about both Middleton and Queen Camilla, Llusia-Lindh added, “We have no idea how that happened! Both of them bought the bag on the website — it’s great to see it enjoyed by different generations like that.”
According to the Palace, Middleton — who has been a patron of the Anna Freud Centre since 2016 — visited as “The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood launches a new project with Anna Freud to enhance the skills of health visitors to support early social and emotional development.”
In an official Instagram post from the Prince and Princess of Wales, Middleton was “Proud to introduce a new project between Anna Freud and The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood to strengthen the skills of health visitors in supporting early social and emotional development. A pleasure meeting the families who helped shape the curriculum and marking the appointment of Peter Fonagy as President of the Anna Freud Centre.”
With the holiday season officially upon us, it’s a fitting start to the most wonderful time of the year.
