Kristin Cavallari claims she was paid more than ‘Laguna Beach’ castmates
Kristin Cavallari accidentally spilled the beans that she was paid more than the rest of her “Laguna Beach” castmates.
While Cavallari and fellow alums Lauren Conrad and Stephen Colletti played a game of wing roulette in a TikTok with First We Feast on Tuesday, the trio was asked what their per-episode paycheck was for Season 1.
Colletti jumped in to answer the question, and started trying to figure out what $2,000 divided by eight episodes was — but Cavallari interjected, saying, “I thought it was $2,500?”
“What?” a shocked Colletti, 40, asked, taking a step back.
In unison, him and Conrad questioned if she got paid $2,500 — since that was news to them.
The Uncommon James founder gave a mischievous grin to the camera, confirming that was the amount she got paid.
“I thought we all did,” Cavallari, 39, insisted, adding that she would have filmed the show “for free.”
The reality stars said they were all paid the same amount for the “Reunion: Laguna Beach,” noting that it was “not a lot” more than their salary from the OG MTV reality series, which ran from 2004 to 2006.
“No one did this for the dollars,” Conrad, 40, quipped.
The highly anticipated “Laguna Beach” reunion — a two-hour Roku special which premiered April 10 —brought the original cast back together on screen for the first time in 20 years.
During the original show’s run, Conrad and Cavallari had a longstanding feud, which revolved around a love triangle with Colletti.
But the women have since put their feud behind them. Cavallari even revealed that they were “friends” on her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast last year while they were filming for the reunion.
“Lauren and I are friends now,” she gushed, adding that “the world is healing” before describing the “great time” she had reuniting with her former co-stars.
“I’m not trying to be cheesy, but it really was healing in a lot of ways. It was very therapeutic,” she told podcast listeners.
“I think it’s funny because if I’m being completely honest, I didn’t actually want to do it,” the “Very Cavallari” alum continued. “I’m really, really happy that I did. It was such a great experience and just a nice way to end the whole ‘Laguna Beach’ of it all.”
