Lady Gaga’s curved Christian Louboutin heels look impossible to walk in
Mother Monster is back with another unexpected mashup.
Lady Gaga was spotted heading into the Milan airport this past weekend, catching a flight in mile-high pink satin Christian Louboutin heels and a matching sweater and skirt set by the brand Matières Fécales.
With exaggerated shoulder pads and a distressed, moth-eaten hemline, the bubblegum pink outfit is a combination of styles that, when put together, actually work — at least on someone as boundary-pushing as the global superstar.
Over the weekend, the “Abracadabra” singer, 39, shared an outfit-of-the-day-style video on TikTok with the caption, “The Category is BALLET GOTH.”
One fan commented, “The color is giving Joanne. The heels are giving Chromatica. The shoulder is giving BTW. The sunglasses are giving Mayhem. The vibe is giving the Countess. I’m crying,” referencing several of the superstar’s fashionably distinct personas.
Accessorized with a black Hermès Mini Kelly bag, Port Tanger wraparound sunglasses and her enormous engagement ring, Gaga put her unique spin on the classic jet-set look, albeit with footwear that was likely not TSA-approved.
The distinctly convex heel design was engineered by Christian Louboutin in collaboration with Matières Fécales, first appearing on the runway at the brand’s fall 2025 debut during Paris Fashion Week. The latest iteration of the alien-inspired shoe, which Gaga wore, was part of the Canadian brand’s spring 2026 collection: “A Rose is a Rose.”
According to WWD, “Christian Louboutin’s fetishistic shoes were designed to give the outfits an edge, but the effect backfired on several models who clutched the scenery for support.”
Lady Gaga, however, has long since mastered the art of fancy footwear. She has worn unusual designs since the “Just Dance” days, from Alexander McQueen Armadillo boots to patent leather thigh-high Pleasers.
Her “Mayhem Ball” tour featured several pairs of customized shoes, ranging from Steve Madden to Stuart Weitzman to Capezio, all customized with crystals by Disco Daddy Studio.
Just last month, she brought back her iconic 18-inch pointe shoes from the “Marry the Night” music video for a recent Haus Labs ad campaign.
The pop superstar was presumed to have been in Italy to film a part in “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” after being spotted on set with Emily Blunt, Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep last week.
We can only imagine what Miranda Priestly will have to say about her onscreen looks.
But if we had to guess? Groundbreaking. Gravity-defying, at the very least.
