Lena Dunham and husband Luis Felber welcome first baby via surrogate
Lena Dunham and her husband, Luis Felber, have welcomed a child via a surrogate.
The couple, who have been married since September 2021, are now the proud parents of a baby girl, the actress revealed in a Wednesday op-ed in Vogue.
We hear the couple are currently in the States and will soon move to London, where Felber is from.
Dunham has been open about medical issues with her reproductive system. In 2017 at the age of 31 she had a hysterectomy due to severe endometriosis, a painful condition where tissue grows outside the uterus.
In 2018, she had her left ovary which she said was “encased in scar tissue and fibrosis, attached to my bowel and pressing on nerves that made it kinda hard to walk/pee/vamp,” Dunham wrote. “Over the last month it got worse and worse until I was simply a burrito shaped like a human.”
Last summer she told the Times that she and Farber were in the process of “expanding” their family.
