Sadie Sink had a surprise cameo at a recent Lorde show!
On Sunday, Nov. 16, the Stranger Things star appeared on stage while the two-time Grammy winner was performing “Green Light” at London’s O2 Arena.
The show, which was the first of two concerts Lorde, 29, is performing at the O2 Arena, was a part of the Ultrasound world tour.
In TikTok footage of the moment captured by PopBase, Sink, 23, and Lorde can be seen jumping on stage, holding hands and singing the lyrics to the 2017 hit featured on Melodrama. While the duo’s hair shakes in the air, the stage is covered in a green hue.
As the pair dance like nobody’s watching, Lorde yells “get the f— up!” to the crowd.
Sink’s appearance at Lorde’s show comes after she starred in the Tony-nominated Broadway play, John Proctor Is the Villain this year, where “Green Light” had a prominent feature.
In June, Sink, who starred as a high school student who shakes up her English class’ discussion of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible in John Proctor Is the Villain, spoke to Vogue about how powerful the use of “Green Light” was in the play.
“Oh my God, I’m a huge Lorde fan. I’m so excited for the new album,” she said at the time. “Solar Power was such an important album for me. To follow an artist through her many different eras…she really was that person for me.”
In July, Lorde attended a performance of John Proctor Is the Villain, per an Instagram post shared by the show’s playwright Kimberly Belflower.
“To share this play with her, to watch her hands dance in the air while her music blasts through the Booth Theatre, to look her in the eye and (attempt to) tell her what she means to me, to see her take such care with everyone who made this production, to hug her, to watch her stage door (!!!?!??) was maybe the most surreal and beautiful night in this entire surreal and beautiful journey. I will never ever ever forget it or get over it,” she captioned the post.
Lorde will perform at the O2 Arena on Monday, Nov. 17, with the European leg of her tour running through Dec. 9 in Stockholm. She will then perform two shows on Dec. 16 and Dec. 17 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. and will playa dates in Australia and New Zealand in February.
