‘McBee Dynasty’ star Galyna Saltkovska weighs in on ex Steve McBee Sr.’s ‘tough’ prison sentence 

Galyna Saltkovska has been staying in touch with Steve McBee Sr. amid his “tough” prison sentence.

The “McBee Dynasty” star spoke exclusively to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” about the current state of her relationship with McBee Sr., who is serving time at FPC Yankton in South Dakota.

“I went [to the prison] only two times,” Saltkovska, 48, told us. “I do email him probably weekly, updating [him] on the businesses and just saying hi, because I’m a human and I understand that he is in a tough position that he shouldn’t have been [in].”

McBee Sr. pleaded guilty to one count of crop insurance fraud in 2024. He reported to federal prison in December 2025 to begin his two-year sentence. He was also ordered to pay more than $4 million in restitution.

McBee Sr.’s eldest son, Steven McBee Jr., told Page Six that he will be released from prison on Sept. 11, meaning he’ll have served less than one year of his sentence.

Saltkovska, for her part, shares a turbulent history with the McBee family patriarch.

Their relationship began as an affair while McBee Sr. was still married to his ex-wife, Kristi McBee, with whom he shares four sons. Saltkovska eventually rose to the role of CFO of McBee Farm & Cattle Co.

Their romantic relationship ended when McBee Sr. began an affair with Saltkovska’s former best friend, Masha Petrova.

“I don’t see her, nor do I want to have any contact with her,” Saltkovska told us. “I do not call her by that name. I’m calling her ‘Mashed Potato’ at this point, because one of the fans suggested that, and it just stuck with me.”

Saltkovska said she understands if the couple became “attracted to each other,” but claimed the way they handled their relationship was “absolutely wrong” and “inappropriate.”

“I don’t do things like that to my friends,” she said.

As for whether McBee Sr.’s relationship with Petrova survived his time in prison, Saltkovska said she’s “pretty positive” that Petrova is “still hanging onto” the farmer.

“Maybe that was [Petrova’s] only opportunity in life, because obviously she doesn’t have a job or any kind of skill set,” Saltkovska shaded. “So, good luck to her. I don’t want to be around her.”

While Saltkovska is still working on moving on from McBee Sr., she said she’s not going to let the drama surrounding his romantic life stand in her way of building the family business.

“Yes, we had a personal relationship. And yes, they betrayed me,” she said. “But at the same time, we were building businesses; I built relationships with the boys and their families and so much more.”

“So, I am trying to put that behind me and look [at] the future.”
