Nicole Kidman shares wisdom on surviving life’s ‘devastating’ moments after Keith Urban split

Nicole Kidman shared her advice on how to survive life’s “devastating” experiences soon after her shocking split from Keith Urban.
“As I get older, I want to be able to share and impart the things I’ve learned,” she told Harper’s Bazaar while promoting Japanese beauty brand Clé de Peau Beauté as a global ambassador on Thursday.
“I’ve seen a lot, I’ve experienced a lot, and I’ve survived a lot,” she continued. “I want to pass on some of that knowledge and that wisdom and whatever I’ve learned.”
While reflecting on the best part of getting older, the “Practical Magic” star, 58, shared that she felt it’s the “experiences that you’ve accumulated” that have shown her she can persevere through many of life’s harrowing moments.
“So you go, ‘Oh, I’ve been here before. I actually know how to handle this now.’ Or, ‘Maybe I haven’t been in this place, but I’ve experienced something similar to this, and I do know that I will get through it,’” she shared.
“There’s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through,” she continued.
“You’re going to have to feel it. You’re not going to be able to numb it. You are going to have to feel it, and it’s going to feel insurmountable at times. You’re going to feel like you’re broken, but if you move gently and slowly — and it can take an enormous amount of time — it does pass,” she explained further.
Kidman previously went though a highly publicized divorce when she and Tom Cruise split in 2001 after 11 years of marriage.
On Sept. 30, she officially filed for divorce from Urban, calling it quits on their 19-year marriage.
In her filing, she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split and asked the court to be named the “primary residential parent” for their two minor daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
A source previously told Page Six that the “Big Little Lies” star is “sad, but moving on” as she and Urban, 57, have gone their separate ways.
She recently proved she’s in the “moving on” spirit by returning to social media on Tuesday, sharing her stylish Paris Fashion Week appearances.
TMZ previously reported that Kidman and Urban had been living separately since the start of summer. The country music star has reportedly moved out of the estranged couple’s family home and bought his own property in the area, leaving Kidman to care for their kids in his absence.
Urban is currently on his High and Alive World Tour and was recently spotted no longer wearing his wedding ring last week in his first public appearance since the breakup was announced.
