Perez Hilton’s mom files for temporary custody of celeb blogger’s three kids after ‘suicide attempt’

Perez Hilton’s mom has filed for temporary custody of the blogger’s three children after his self-harm incident.

Page Six can exclusively reveal Teresita Lavandeira filed for temporary custody of Hilton’s three children — Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8 — on August 7.

Miami court papers obtained by Page Six show Hilton “voluntarily consented” to the custody request.

“I realize that by signing this document, I am consenting to the Petitioner having temporary legal custody of the minor children and that such temporary custody is in the best interest of the children,” the documents read.

Hilton’s mom is able to consent to necessary medical and dental care for his children, gain access to their medical, vital and educational records, making educational decisions and “do all other things necessary for the care of the children.”

The court documents, which Hilton signed, continue, “I realize that the custody of my children by the Petitioner is temporary and that I may, at any time, petition the court to return legal custody to me.

“I understand and acknowledge that I may have to comply with a reasonable transition plan prior to the court returning legal custody to me.”

In another court filing, Lavandeira requested to seal the case from public view.

“The Respondent in this case is a public figure and the media has been surrounding his home for days on end,” the papers read. “The children in this case should not be subjected to any further trauma related to the incidents that are the basis for the Petition.”

She is asking for the documents to be sealed so the family could “privately heal and move forward from this very unfortunate incident.”

This comes after Hilton — whose birth name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr. — made a “suicide attempt” on livestream Tuesday.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office told Page Six in a statement Tuesday that they received “multiple calls” of “an individual livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media.”

“The individual has been safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention,” the sheriff’s office said in the statement.

“The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals are also on scene providing support and resources to the individual’s family.”

Page Six obtained 911 dispatch audio of a “suicide attempt” at the 48-year-old’s Miami home.

Multiple units responded to the “active police scene,” while additional units were advised to “stand by.” Authorities were at the residence for hours.

Page Six also obtained surveillance footage of authorities at Hilton’s home with sirens blaring at around 7:10 p.m.

Hilton’s family shared an update with fans on Saturday, saying he “remains hospitalized under Florida’s Baker Act” and that his condition is “serious but stable.”

“He experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days,” the statement read. “His treatment and recovery will be a long process.”

The Baker Act — AKA the Florida Mental Health Act — allows for temporary and involuntary detention of someone experiencing a mental health crisis, according to the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Page Six previously reported on Hilton’s traumatic year ahead of the “suicide attempt.”

He had difficulty adjusting to life in Miami after moving back to his hometown from Las Vegas.

Hilton was hospitalized in March for taking flu medicine on an empty stomach. He developed an ulcer, perforation and then sepsis, spending three weeks in the hospital.

A month later, he underwent emergency surgery for a “massive” blood clot.

“His health struggles this year have been extreme. The sepsis honestly almost killed him,” a source told Page Six. “I don’t know if people realize just how traumatic and horrific that was for him, both physically, but also emotionally.”

His struggles continued when he received “pretty extreme” medical and health bills that “hit him hard.”

“Mario has always worked extremely hard, he’s one of the hardest working people I know and so suddenly being faced with these mounting financial pressures was a lot for him,” the source said, as he is the “breadwinner” of the family.

“He just wants to provide a good life for everybody,” the insider said. “I know that for that reason, the past few months have been really hard for him.”
