Rachel Recchia Claims Some ‘Perfect Match’ Season 3 Couples ‘Got Back Together’ at Netflix Event

While some Perfect Match couples went their separate ways after season 3, Rachel Recchia claimed they didn’t stay apart for long.
“There’s a lot still going on, like, even just from that Netflix [Summer Break] event,” Rachel, 29, teased on the Tuesday, August 5, episode of the “Viall Files” podcast, referring to the network’s recent press event. “There’s a lot happening. Oh, my God, there might have been more drama at that Netflix event [than on the show]. There’s still stuff going on, [even though] filming was a year ago.”
Rachel and many of her Perfect Match season 3 costars attended the Netflix gathering last month in support of the show, which returned Friday, August 1.
“[There were] lots of people fighting [and] couples getting back together,” Rachel teased without sharing names.
When podcast host Nick Viall asked whether she herself rekindled a Perfect Match romance, Rachel played coy. At this point in the season, Rachel has matched with both her Bachelor ex Clayton Echard and Love Island UK alum Scott van-der-Sluis. She also went on a date with Love Is Blind UK star Freddie Powell.
“Maybe not Freddie,” Rachel answered. “But who knows? I might be talking to someone.”
She added, “You guys know I love a second chance and a third and a fourth! I am just so full of forgiveness.”
Rachel, however, did confirm that half of a newly reformed couple includes a Love Island castoff. (In addition to Scott, 24, season 3 also featured Carrington Rodriguez and Ray Gantt, who both appeared on the U.S. version of the dating show.)
“There’s three Love Island guys, we’ll say that. Don’t know which one though,” she hinted before Nick, 44, and wife Natalie Joy speculated that Rachel connected with Carrington, 28, following the Summer Break party.
Rachel succinctly replied, “I don’t know. It could be Ray. I don’t know, you guys.”
One Perfect Match season 3 pairing has already gone the distance. AD Smith and Ollie Sutherland got engaged in March and are currently expecting their first baby.
“Wedding planning is going slowly but surely. We’re just taking it day by day, really,” AD, 34, exclusively told Us Weekly, coincidentally, at the Netflix Summer Break bash. “I’m loving being a fiancée, so I’m not really in a rush. We’re going to get married this year at some point, so we’re [taking it] day by day.”
AD and Ollie, 33, had a strong connection during the first few episodes of Perfect Match. She was eventually eliminated from the villa when Ollie was selected to go on a date with two new arrivals. It is not yet known how she and Ollie got back on track.
Perfect Match season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix. New episodes drop on Fridays.
