Rob Reiner’s sister-in-law breaks silence 9 months after brutal murders

Martine Singer broke her silence on the “really hard” aftermath of her sister Michele and brother-in-law Rob Reiner’s murders nine months after the tragedy.

“Our lives are changed forever,” she told “Extra” Tuesday in a sit-down interview. “I suppose you heal from a wound, but the scar is there. It’s a really hard thing to describe because it never goes away.”

She also revealed how she is helping the late couple’s kids Jake and Romy cope after their brother Nick allegedly murdered their parents.

“Everybody in the family is healing in his or her own way. I’ll never be my sister and I can never be what’s missing in their lives, but I consider them my kids. There’s no daylight between us.”

During the interview, Singer also gushed about Michele and the legendary filmmaker’s love story before their untimely deaths.

“They were absolutely incredible together. They met and didn’t take long before they were together forever,” she said.

Martine also called the late pair “the most caring, generous, brilliant people,” noting that “they did a lot to try to heal the world” before their deaths.

As Page Six previously reported, Rob and Michele were stabbed to death in their California home, located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles in December 2025.

The day after the news broke, their son Nick was arrested and has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Nick — who was diagnosed with schizophrenia before the killings and has a long history of drug addiction — has pleaded not guilty to all charges and has remained in jail without bail.

While most of the family has not shown any support towards the accused killer, Rob’s sister, Annie Reiner, was “in his corner” during his February legal proceedings.

However, Page Six exclusively reported that during Nick’s latest hearing on Sept. 15, which marked his 33rd birthday, none of his family members present.

During the hearing, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said that he does not expect Nick’s trial to begin before 2027.

As for his sibings, Jake and Romy, they have largely remained out of the spotlight since the tragedy.

Jake addressed his parents’ murders in his first sit-down interview last month, during which he shared his “rage” over their “infuriating” deaths.

Although he refused to answer multiple questions about Nick’s ongoing trial, Jake did confirm he has not spoken to his incarcerated sibling.

Romy has yet to break her silence on the tragedy, but did testify before the grand jury that indicted brother Nick Reiner for their parents’ murders.
