Savannah Guthrie’s husband shares heartbreaking Mother’s Day post to wife as her mom, Nancy, remains missing
Savannah Guthrie’s husband penned a heartbreaking Mother’s Day tribute to his wife as his mother-in-law, Nancy Guthrie, remains missing.
“To the strongest person I know,” Michael Feldman wrote via Instagram Sunday, alongside a sweet snap of the “Today” show host kissing their kids, Vale and Charley.
“Surrounding you with love on Mother’s Day. ❤️💔❤️,” he added.
Nancy, 84, went missing on Feb. 1 when she was believed to be taken from her Arizona home by a masked suspect.
The matriarch failed to show up to church services and authorities quickly turned her home into a crime scene.
The investigation, in collaboration with the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department, has led to the discovery of potential DNA evidence and surveillance footage of a masked person attempting to disarm Nancy’s front door camera the night she disappeared.
Nancy’s disappearance has taken a toll on her family, with Savannah, 54, admitting she was in “agony” during an emotional interview on “Today” in March.
“It is unbearable,” she said while breaking down in tears.
“And to think of what she went through, I wake up every night in the middle of the night, every night, and in the darkness, I imagine her terror, and it is unthinkable, but those thoughts demand to be thought and I will not hide my face, but she needs to come home now,” she shared.
In the candid interview, the journalist sobbed over the possibility that her fame may have led to Nancy’s disappearance.
“I just want to say, I’m so sorry, mommy,” she said.
Savannah also slammed speculation that her family members — including her siblings, Camron Guthrie and Annie Guthrie — were involved in their mother’s apparent abduction.
“It’s unbearable. … There are no words. I don’t understand, and I’ll never understand,” the TV personality shared.
Additionally, Savannah and her family have received several ransom notes from Nancy’s alleged kidnappers, demanding millions.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos gave an update on the case on Friday, claiming they were closer to solving it.
