Sophia Bush, Ashlyn Harris have been secretly married for more than a year

Sophia Bush has been married to Ashlyn Harris for more than a year.

The actress revealed the secret nuptials, which took place in the summer of 2025, while chatting with Vogue about her upcoming memoir, “And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress.”

The intimate ceremony took place in upstate New York and was attended by Harris’ two children — Sloane, 5, and Ocean, 4 — from her previous marriage to fellow retired pro soccer player Ali Krieger.

Bush’s best friend, Nia Batts, officiated.

“The kids were just running and happy, and we picked flowers from the property and our daughter Sloane was holding them,” Bush, 44, said of the nuptials. “It was so fun for them, because it wasn’t this pressure-filled day that’s too much for young kids.”

She called the wedding, which ended that night with roasted marshmallows, “so precious” with “zero pressure.”

The “Chicago P.D.” alum gushed, “I will never forget it, and I think wedding days sometimes aren’t like that.”

Since Harris, 40, spent her athletic career “playing in stadiums in front of 60,000 people” and Bush has played “character[s] for tens of millions of people,” the couple kept the event low-key.

“When you get to this stage in your life, you begin to unpack what’s yours and what’s always sort of been for everyone else,” Bush explained to the magazine.

The duo then visited their loved ones to have “personal experiences” sharing their wedding news in person.

Now, going public with the news, Bush told Harris, “You’re not my partner, you know? You’re my wife. And it feels so amazing to say that.”

In an excerpt of her book, which comes out Oct. 27, Bush wrote more about the “magical day.”

She recalled, “We wept. We laughed. We exchanged rings. The invisible string pulled tighter around us. … This is the first chapter of my life that feels truly, wholly, divinely mine.”

Bush has been married twice before, first to Chad Michael Murray between 2005 and 2006, then to businessman Grant Hughes between 2022 and 2023.

Harris, for her part, filed for divorce from Krieger, 42, in September 2023 after nearly four years of marriage.

Page Six confirmed the Olympian and Bush’s romance the following month, with the latter coming out as queer in a Glamour cover story in April 2024.

In the interview, Bush hit back at rampant speculation she left Hughes over “some hysterical rendezvous” with Harris and insisted the rumored infidelity “never happened.”

The “Work in Progress” podcast host also railed against “the ones who said [she] left [her] ex because [she] suddenly realized [she] wanted to be with women,” quipping, “My partners have known what I’m into for as long as I have (so that’s not it, y’all, sorry!)”

In July 2024, she described asking her partner out after their mutual pals attempted to set up the newly-single athlete.

“I was like, ‘If she’s ready to date, she’s going on a date with me,’” Bush told podcast listeners. “Like, ‘Sorry. Uh-uh. Like, no f–king way.’”
