Taylor Swift said she didn’t want to ‘hide’ her relationships before dating Joe Alwyn

Staying out of the spotlight was never Taylor Swift’s “End Game.”
The Grammy winner admitted she did not “like” hiding her relationships in a resurfaced interview that has gone viral on TikTok.
“It all depends on who you’re with,” she said. “If they have a serious issue with it, then you, I guess, hide or whatever. But I don’t really like that.”
Swift explained, “It makes me feel like I’m running from the law or something. I don’t want to feel like I’m like a fugitive. Like, ‘Oh, my God, we’re having a relationship. Better put on a mask and stuff.’”
The pop star added that her ideal romance would be “normal,” saying, “That would be good. … I’d just rather live my life.”
As Swift spoke, the clip included contrasting images of the songwriter stepping out with her now-ex Joe Alwyn and current boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
When the “Cruel Summer” singer dated Alwyn from 2016 to 2023, the pair were often spotted shielding their faces behind hoods and bandannas or running from cameras.
Kelce, meanwhile, has been photographed calmly strolling hand in hand with Swift at dinner dates, football games, tropical trips and more.
The TikTok upload also included an interview with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, explaining how he and Swift, also 34, deal with paparazzi.
“It comes with [her fame],” he said with a smile. “You’ve got a lot of people that care about Taylor and for good reason.”
Kelce and Swift first sparked romance speculation in September 2023, five months after news broke of her and Alwyn’s breakup.

In the last month, the loved-up couple has packed on PDA in the Bahamas and at Coachella.
With Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” album coming out Friday, however, fans have been revisiting her and Alwyn’s six-year romance.
Many think that Tuesday’s Spotify pop-up at The Grove in Los Angeles featured Easter eggs about the breakup, including lyrics about “statues crumbl[ing] if they’re made to wait.”
Social media users speculated that those words — in combination with a statue of Diana of Ephesus, whose original statue crumbled after “neglect” — are related to Alwyn, 33, not proposing to Swift.
Additionally, the album’s fifth track, “So Long, London,” is believed to reference her time in her ex’s England country home coming to an end.
