Taylor Swift’s ‘New Heights’ episode racks in 10M views in just 16 hours, blows out previous top video

Taylor Swift broke another record with her “New Heights” podcast episode, garnering over 10 million views in 16 hours.

The Grammy winner’s Wednesday episode with hosts Travis and Jason Kelce kicked the former Philadelphia Eagles star’s wife, Kylie Kelce, out of the lead for the podcast’s top episode.

The retired soccer pro’s segment from last year ranked up 8.6 million views as of Thursday, about 1.4 million less than Swift’s episode.

Jason, 37, predicted that Swift, 35, would dethrone Kylie, saying on Wednesday’s podcast, “I think Kylie enjoyed being the No. 1 most viewed episode for the time that she had.”

The “Cruel Summer” singer defended Kylie, 33, telling the former NFL star not to throw her under the bus, replying, “Don’t you do that to Kylie.”

Kylie, meanwhile, gracefully accepted her fate on her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast episode on Thursday, telling her followers, “Officially no longer the record holder for the most-watched episode of the other podcast.”

She explained it was “very entertaining to watch” as Swift’s podcast episode unexpectedly cut out due to the number of streams, adding, “It’s just crumbling apart and I love it.”

The “New Heights” podcast’s third most-watched episode features Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes from two years ago.

The episode reached 5.9 million views as of Thursday.

Coming in fourth place is the Kelce brothers’ episode with former NFL quarterback Julian Edelman, with 5.2 million views, and fifth is an episode featuring their mom, Donna Kelce, with 109,000 views.

Nearly 1.3 million viewers were watching the live premiere of Swift’s nearly two-hour podcast appearance when the stream cut out.

The podcast’s X account announced that Swifties “[broke] the internet” and they would “be back shortly.”

According to Variety, the “New Heights” YouTube account increased from 2.85 million to 2.91 million subscribers following Swift’s episode.

The podcast also became the number one show on Apple’s Podcast Chart.

Reps for Wondery, the podcast platform, weren’t available to Page Six for an additional comment.

Jason couldn’t help but gush over the podcast streams in real time via X on Wednesday, writing, “Oh my god, there’s already 976k watching this live, what in the actual f–k …1.2 now … million that is.”

Per research by Turvallinen Kasino, the “New Heights” podcast gained an additional 153,944 followers after they teased the “Cruel Summer” singer as their guest earlier this week.

The increase in followers came after the podcast’s social media page was steadily losing nearly 200 followers a day at the beginning of the month.

Their TikTok account also racked up 800,000 TikTok likes since the announcement of Swift’s podcast appearance, according to the website.

It was also reported that Travis’ personal followers increased by 8,334, while Jason’s increased by 4,194 and Swift’s by 22,400.

On the podcast, the “Love Story” singer discussed her highly anticipated “The Life of a Showgirl” album, which is set for release on Oct. 3, and gave an inside look at her romance with Travis, 35.
