The emotional reason why Sean ‘Diddy’ Combsâ ex Misa Hylton attended sex-trafficking trial: âMommy, I need youâ
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ex Misa Hylton revealed the emotional reason why she has been attending the rapper’s sex-trafficking trial.
Over the weekend, the fashion designer — who shares son Justin Combs, 31, with the Bad Boy Records founder — took to Instagram, explaining why she needed to be there for her son despite a recent injury.
“Yes, I’m good everyone I’m on my healing journey 💫,” she wrote alongside photos of her posing with her leg cast and walker.
“When I suffered my injury I had chosen to heal privately but when my son said ‘Mommy, I need you’ I was right there for him walker and all. I’m a MOTHER FIRST, FOR REAL and I am my son’s strength and thats just what it is. Plain and Simple.”
Hylton, 52, said she is “cool” with people not understanding why she chose to attend Sean’s trial.
“Whoever doesn’t understand that just simply isn’t in alignment with me or anything that I’m about in life. I’m cool with that,” she penned.
“I have a purpose filled life that I live daily. I make impact. I’m not concerned with insecure people attempting to project their insecurities on to me. EVER,” the mom of three added.
“Let’s start being real people who do real things again. Don’t let this app rule your life I promise you it’s really not good for you. Every moment isn’t a glamour moment, your best highlight reel, some moments are as down to the bone as you could ever in your life imagine. Layered and complex.”
The stylist concluded her post by giving words of encouragement to “all of my temporarily disabled and disabled people.”
“Don’t ever be ashamed of your condition or the need to use the medical tools created to assist in your healing or the way you need to move around in this world,” she wrote.
“If you have God in your heart, pray for us all. Be kind, use critical thinking and hold your head high.”
The “Act Bad” rapper, 55, and Hylton dated in the early ’90s and welcomed their son, Justin, in December 1993.
The Misa Hylton Fashion Academy founder first showed up at Sean’s trial on May 12. While using her walker, she walked to the Manhattan federal with Justin by her side.
She then returned to her ex’s trial the following day.
Last May, Hylton spoke out in support of Sean’s ex Casandra “Cassie” Ventura after hotel video surveillance was released of him viciously attacking the singer in 2016.
“I am heartbroken that Cassie must relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart goes out to her,” she wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post, alongside photos of the rap mogul’s seven children.
“I know exactly how she feels, and through my empathy, it has triggered my own trauma.”
Hylton ended her post by saying Sean “needs help” and that she is “praying that he truly does the personal work and receives it.”
The “I’ll Be Missing You” emcee is currently on trial facing charges of racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution.
He has pleaded not guilty.
